Greg & Sally

As of July 1st, Greg and Sally moved from supported missionaries to unpaid volunteers serving in an advisory role. Greg makes a heartfelt plea for missionaries to have the courage to leave their home and move into places where there are no born-again Christians willing to witness for Christ. Pray the Lord of the Harvest will thrust out a new generation of missionaries eager to do whatever it takes to live and make disciples among Muslim peoples. Pray for Greg and Sally as they learn to serve in a new way.

Jeff & Lynne

Jeff gives thanks that the community radio at the Training Campus continues to create many opportunities to share about Christ. Pray God would give their partners favor to get permits for the second FM station approved, and get the station set up and broadcasting as soon as possible. Pray as Jeff, Lynne and the kids prepare to return to their country of ministry and that the kids will be admitted in the International school.

Brian & Joanne

Brian has a heart for training men to lead and pastor churches all over the world and hopes Zoom will not be shut down when the U.A.E. reopens. It has been very effective in keeping Covenant Hope Church connected under the leadership of elders. He has a new group of pastoral interns, and continues training 15-20 men. It is challenging to become a believer in an Arabic country, pray Brian will train, mentor and pastor well through the cross-cultural relationships he encounters.

For more info on Brian & Joanne see page 43 of the prayer guide.

Dean & Kyria

Dean and Kyria are grateful to have found a family to live with for two months to immerse in the local language and learn from them. They ask prayer that they will be salt and light in the lives of their host family and will be able to encourage their oldest daughter, who is their language helper, in her young faith. Pray they will have energy, wisdom, grace, gratitude, patience, and charity with one another and with their host family. Pray for opportunities to converse and share the love of Christ with them and build relationships.

For more info on Dean & Kyria see page 49 of the prayer guide.

Brian & Terri

Brian and Terri are legal missionaries for another year and thankful for their Religious Affairs visa and freedom of religion. They had to bid goodbye to their friends who have labored with them for twenty-two years in Thailand as their CO Serve position moves to the states. Pray believers return to the campuses to impact their classmates for Christ. Pray Brian and Terri would know how to best coach and train their leaders to encourage and champion them.

Pieter Ernst / Mozambique

Gaza Works which Pieter Ernst oversees in Mozambique continues to see progress in many areas. Some districts branched out into side crops when needed, while Community Discipleship Groups (CDG) use varied methods to study the Bible, help people leave spirit world worship, and assist others with greater needs. Pray each of these CDG groups can identify the needs within their district and meet them.

For more info on Pieter see page 81 of the prayer guide.

Pangrati Project

The Pangrati Project is the church planting effort of the Greek Evangelical Church of Glyfada (George Tolias) whose mission is to serve the needs of the residents of Pangrati and create a new community of faith that will eventually become an evangelical church. Their team focuses on three different groups: families, college students, and artists. Pray for creative ideas for reaching out to their community virtually during the social distancing and how to move forward once restrictions are lifted.

Faith

Faith has decided to stay in Uganda another year and is looking forward to her marriage to Seme Ludanga on July 25. Pray for renewal of her visa that expires at the end of the month. Pray for all the preparations and events surrounding the wedding that they can have more people participate in the festivities. They will live in the Bidibidi Refugee settlement in N. Uganda working in the church where Seme is a pastor. Pray for wisdom, peace, and for God to be the center of their marriage, and their new home together.

For more info on Faith see page 78 of the prayer guide.

Herb & Heather

Herb and Heather are grateful that even with COVID restrictions they can still share the Good News with patients. Since the southern region is still open, the team from the Ras An Naqab clinic has been out visiting homes in the community. When the lock down came to factories near Mafraq, there were 30-50,000 S.E. Asians living and working in the area. Normally those with TB would have been deported back to their country, but with no way home, they have come to Annoor. Pray for miracles in the lives of these who are doubly isolated by disease, language, and culture. Pray for transformation and healing in each one.

For more info on Herb & Heather see page 40 of the prayer guide.

Leonardo

Leonardo reports that Breccia Di Roma was able to resume public worship with social distancing and to resume partaking in the Lord’s Supper. He and the team were able to start some initiatives, one of which is a web-magazine in Italian promoting evangelical culture through short articles, reviews, and commentaries. The feedback has been very positive. Pray for the effectiveness of the European Leadership Forum that was held digitally and for the church retreat to help members reconnect.
