Two teams, led by Ron and Sarah Sadlow and Wilson and Sarah Gaye Sneed, leave tomorrow for Eastern Europe to work with our strategic partners as they plant churches in several locations. Pray for safe travel, wisdom in service, team unity, and a clear understanding of how Second can be involved with these ministries in the future. They return July 3.

Praise that Joe and Austia’s 10 year visas have been issued. Their team is beginning to bond and care for each other. Pray for the neighbors they have met to feel welcomed, following the housewarming party they recently gave, and that fellowships can begin to develop.

Stephen & Rachel Lungu have been ministering in the women’s prison in their Malawian city where 62 women are imprisoned. About 43 have accepted the Lord and they have engaged some in Bible studies. Pray that God will be glorified through the testimonies and witness of these new Christians.

Brian & Terri are rejoicing that three freshman guys who attended the evangelistic summer project want to study the Bible with Brian this summer. Brian asks prayer for the Lord to raise up this new generation of believers to be strong laborers for Christ.

Pray for Josh and Elizabeth Johnson to have diligence to study, practice, and learn Spanish, and for smooth transition into life, work, and ministry in Peru. Pray they will be able to easily and economically find the necessities to furnish their apartment, and to meet and develop at least one close Peruvian friend.

Andy and Brooke ask prayer for protection of colleagues in N Korea, for FORCE scholarship students to follow Jesus, for open minds and hearts as they host a group of cultural exchange students, and for Andy in his new role as National Director of his sending agency.

Praise that John M. has received permission to start the feasibility phase of his mariculture project in SE Asia. Pray for John and his partner as they map out a strategy for the coming months and what this means for their families and relocation plans.

Praise for the business connection Kyle Zimmerman has made since his family’s return to Buenos Aires. Pray this connection will prove productive for Kyle’s work in the shanty towns and teaching woodworking classes. Continue to pray for the family’s readjustment to life in Argentina.

Assisting workers in closed countries, Greg sees opportunities as well as difficulties through the treatment of those workers, some detained or imprisoned for their faith. Pray they will be able to share the Good News, even in prison. Pray for Greg and Sally to clearly see God’s work in each place and have wisdom as they send workers out into the harvest.

Pray for Jake and his teammates as they work with summer teams, get to know their neighbors and tutors, and look forward to teaching in the fall. Pray especially for creative ways to spend time with Jay, their new brother, who is a very busy guy. Pray they will see God’s marvelous grace and power through their willingness to serve.
