Dave and Robin ask prayer for a new outreach program to help local churches and believers reach out to their Muslim neighbors. Also pray for the three teams at the Classical Schools in N. Iraq as things there are tense, unsteady, under suspicion, and capped off by a waiting list of families wanting to get into the schools. Pray the teams can handle the workload as they are short staffed, and for safety of staff and students in each locale.

John Whittemore leaves for Ukraine this week to spend time with the boys in the trade school dorm, visit 4 orphanages and identify potential candidates for the trade-school program, and renew relationships with trade school graduates and encourage and counsel them in their adult walk. Pray for John to have health, safety, strength, wisdom and the Spirit’s leading. He returns around Nov. 20th.

Brandon leaves tomorrow to visit two countries as part of World Outreach’s Engage 2025 initiative to place teams in strategic locales. Pray for his time with team leaders in both countries, and with the small team traveling together. Pray for wisdom as they gather information and work on plans to place teams in these locations. Pray for Liz and the kids while he is away.

While at a recent GEM conference, Bob and Janie Till were encouraged to learn more people are coming to faith, being baptized, and starting new churches than previously seen across Europe. Pray they will continue to sow seeds of the Gospel and see the harvest. Pray for the 3 Afghans who recently came to the Lord through a language practice program sponsored by GEM.

Howard and Kimberley Graham and Amy Carson leave tomorrow for Malawi to visit and work with World Relief staff. Their goal is to identify where and how Second can be most effective in working with our newest strategic partnership. Pray for wisdom, discernment, and relationship building. The team returns Oct. 28.

Health issues continue to plague Jason and Lisa’s team as they adjust to a new city and environment. Lisa is beginning to get the swing of home schooling. Pray for their family’s adjustment, wisdom and direction for vision and leading the team, team unity, favor with the school and community, and getting to know students and teachers quickly.

Brian P has a ministry among college students on the Arabian Peninsula. There are several universities in this area, including one where there is not one known Christian among their students. However, there are two known Christian professors. Pray these professors will have contact with students, find some who know Jesus, be encouraged in their own faith, and be good witnesses for the faith.

Pray for Jason and Emily Hood and their children as they leave tomorrow for Tanzania where Jason will serve with SAMS as pastor for the Intl. Church. This is a giant move for them. Pray for their adjustment, dependence on the Lord, and joy in serving.

Thomas and Jennifer ask for prayer to fight the spiritual battles they constantly face, and for young son Tyler who has been sick with pneumonia and then bronchitis for the past 4 weeks. They also ask prayer for: Jennifer Pan to recover from surgery, Judy who faces opposition as she grows in faith, Angel who has questions about belief, and Sam who only have a few weeks before leaving for military service.

Pray for Joseph, Mandi and son JP as they travel by car tomorrow so Mandi can join the 2PC ST Team and participate in the women’s conference. Pray for safety on the roads and for JP to handle such a long car ride. Pray Mandi will enjoy the fellowship with the team from Second and be encouraged in her own ministry in another part of the country.
