Jim & Sally

Jim and Sally Foote are grateful for the renewal of Pastor Torerien’s 5-year residency status. Pray he will have great wisdom and not be overwhelmed by the huge needs of the church and that the leadership and members will support and encourage him. Pray for good health and stamina for Jim and Sally to finish the race set before them, and to quickly finish the building.

Kenya ST Team

A short term team leaves tomorrow to work with Judy Mbugua and Homecare Spiritual Fellowship in Kenya. The team of Yvonne Hardin, Susan Warner, Dot Hammons, Shelley Hill, Anita Hughey, Jay and Laura Cofield, and Mandy Young will be taking fabric and sewing supplies to lead sewing classes for the women, and lead the children in making crafts. Pray for servant spirits as our team ministers in different areas of need and for their love, comfort, and care to be obvious to those with whom they work. They return Oct. 31.

Theo

Now in their new location, Theo Visser just completed a four week series at LEEF! on making sense of your life, in hopes of attracting many unbelievers. Pray for the 20 resistant Rotterdammers to turn to Jesus and become passionate followers. The network of 30+ intercultural church plants is going through a transition period and Theo asks prayer for Hans, Marjan, Amy and Rien in their respective roles. Also pray for God’s intervention for Theo’s 7 year old nephew Joas whose kidneys are failing.

Jeff & Lynne

Jeff and Lynne are seeking people who will set aside the first Monday of every month to pray for the Mly people. Pray for laborers for the harvest, for the first man of peace, and for the first Mly fellowship. Lela, their house helper for nine years, is returning to her village next month to start her own family. They pray for another helper to take her place in their home and lives. They are also praying for someone to help Lynne with home schooling their five children.

Heath & Angela

The mission trip Heath took to a small clinic run by Kenya Relief in western Kenya solidified again his reason for being at Tenwek Hospital training surgical residents. He and a third year resident did 24 operations in two and half days. It was exciting to see the resident develop a vision for service and outreach to those in desperate need. Pray for Heath and Angela as they use their medical skills to train and equip medical personnel to take their skills where the needs are so great.

Herb & Heather

Herb and Heather returned to Annoor to find God has doubled the number of patients, and the solar energy panels are generating enough electricity to drop the electric bill significantly. The newest need is a repair /resolution to the well which is no longer producing an adequate supply of water.  Pray for wisdom and careful use of water. Pray for the Annoor patients in personal crisis with war taking a toll on families and their home cities.

Sasha Flek

Sasa Flek shares that they have leased the first “permanent” space for the church right in the center of Prague, giving them a huge opportunity to expand the ministry. Although the number of baptisms has been small, he sees very encouraging signs of God moving in the Czech Republic. Pray for him and his co-laborers at TaCesta to be able to bless the city, reach out to the non-Christian community, create a sustainable model of ministry, and worship God in the center of Prague.

George & Anne

George and Anne Harper ask pray that the surgery on Anne’s left thumb to correct osteoarthritis will be so successful she will have the right hand corrected later this year. In addition to addressing health issues, they are raising support and advising students at AGST who hope to graduate in May.  Pray their time in the US will be beneficial in addressing their health issues and providing some much needed rest and relaxation.

Guille & Debbie

Guille MacKenzie indicates the church where he is involved has called a Taiwanese pastor allowing him to refocus and spend more energy developing a Spanish speaking group. Besides shepherding Nuevo Avivamiento church, he is investigating other avenues of spiritual expansion in Buenos Aires. Pray for Guille, his wife Debbie and the kids as they alter their focus.

The Prices

The Prices’ are thankful they are able to help out at MLF and Refugee Empowerment while they await their work permits. They have been told they should have their permits in the next two weeks and can then schedule their departure for the Middle East.  Pray the permits come as anticipated.
