Juan Patt’s ministry has been challenged recently as various family illnesses have required adjustment to his schedule. Pray for health and strength as Juan preaches in different churches and travels quite a bit. Pray for Maria to be able to help him in the ministry of the church as well as care for their two daughters.
Ronnie asks prayer as he ministers in Russia until the end of March while Jane remains in the states. They both will return to Moscow in April. Pray for Ronnie’s wisdom in short and long term scheduling, and to manage his health well while away from home.
Jeff and Lynne are engaged in a new and exciting nationwide prayer initiative with a vision for multiplying groups of Mly believers in all fifty two districts of the country within the next five years. They will focus on the state immediately north of their present location. Pray others will join their movement and also for their former family helper, Lela, to find Jesus and be a comfort for her family in the sudden death of her sister.
Daryl and Marlene Bussert will lead aviation safety audits to Brazil and Cameroon this year. Also, Daryl is scheduled to help fly the helicopter for “Missions at the Airport” programs and asks we pray for more helicopter pilots to take the place of him and two other pilots who will age out of helicopter flying this year. Lastly, pray for the process of updating and documenting departmental procedures which is taking longer than anticipated.
Pray that Jackie, our newest missionary, will be able to communicate clearly the calling God has given her to serve in Indonesia as she meets with individuals and churches to develop a support team, and that she would have energy and stamina to finish well in her final semester of teaching.
Recovery continues for Paul and Violette Bridgman as she recovers from her broken hip and surgery and he from hernia surgery. They are grateful Violette is now on a medication to improve the condition of her bones and pray she will be able to continue the treatment when they return to Japan in the summer. They ask we pray for wisdom and guidance as to how they can contribute to the growth and edification of the Sakuragaoka Church.
As John and Dawn continue home leave they ask prayer for stamina and joy as they will be speaking almost every weekend along with overseas trips scheduled for the spring. Pray the survey trip Chris and Marie made to Thailand, which turned into an extended stay due to her pregnancy, will give clear direction for their future. Pray for a safe pregnancy and delivery, and that God will use this miracle child for His glory.
John Mc gives praise for the team God has built up and for meeting the funding needs of the mariculture project. Pray for the team leader and his family as they move to the new location and for S as she prepares to join the team this summer. Pray for continuing wisdom as they face some challenging business decisions and for solid relationships with the national church planters as they look to deepen ties this year.
Chris and Debbie began their new assignment of Missionary Care for EPC/WO in January, which means having three ministry locations instead of just one in Budapest. They will be going into the places missionaries live and work in the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Far East to provide care for them. Their goal is to be where the need is (missionaries) and where the resources (care providers) are not. Pray for them as they work to keep WO missionaries healthy, effective, and on the field.
Pray for Dave and his Bauzi helper Yormi whom he is training in translation principles. They have been working on the first draft of 2Kings in addition to comprehensive checking of Matthew in the Auyu language. Joyce and her team continue with curriculum development for the pilot program in the native tongue of a large tribal group tailored for pre-school and kindergarten. Pray for Dave and Joyce’s work sharing God’s word with people who have never had it in their native language.
