Joseph & Mandi

Joseph and Mandi are glad to be back home and into ministry again after time in the States for the birth of their second son. Joseph’s leadership of MEDIC, the microfinance program geared toward women of the area, has been a proven success even in his absence and they look forward to expanded growth lifting many out of extreme poverty. Pray for the re-adjustment of the family, particularly little J.P., and for health and well being of the entire family.

Jim & Sally

Jim & Sally ask prayer for the ministry leaders in the various programs at the Cultural Center in Siberia. Pray for guidance and wisdom for each of these leaders and for the elders of the church. Give thanks to Jim & Sally for their faithful leadership of this ministry for many years and filtering it into the life and culture of the region.

Dan & Stefanie

Dan and Stefanie are excited about starting a new handmade art and jewelry business and ministry among their Muslim neighbors. The business is named Kahani Designs: Kahani is the Hindi and Urdu word for “story”. They plan to work meaningful Bible stories into their designs and, hopefully, into the lives of the women in the cooperative. Pray the women will bond and grow interested in forming a Discovery Bible Study in addition to making jewelry.

Tim

As Tim Blaylock learns more of the Russian language and culture, pray he will be able to share the love of Jesus with the young men that he mentors.  Pray for his busy workload as he teaches English at two schools, P.E. at another, and serves Young Life Central Asia. Pray he will be encouraged and see fruit for the Kingdom in some of these young people.

Raju & Catherine

In addition to directing KTM, Raju has been instrumental in leading the national prayer movement in India. Pray the holistic model this ministry will continue, and that more visionaries will be led to further the ministry. Pray for the work of the hospital and the training of pastors and church leaders, and for Catherine as she coordinates the women’s ministry.

Kazakhstan

The Evangelical Reformed Church of Kazakhstan has faced many obstacles as the six churches there get better established. Pray for Azim, pastor of Rakim Fellowship, as the church has been restricted from using their property for worship. Pray that God will protect the church from persecution, oppression, and govt. interference as He raises up a generation of pastors and leaders.

India St. Partnership

India was one of Second’s first Strategic Partnerships. The ministry there is multifaceted and encompasses two missionary endeavors – medical and professional. In a country with ingrained religious and political systems, pray for Gospel change as a result of prayer being poured out by Christians throughout the country. Pray for relaxation of govt. restrictions that affect the access of missionaries to come and go freely.

Brandon & Liz

Brandon recently participated in World Outreach Committee meetings in Detroit where they interviewed new missionary applicants who will come under his care until they reach the field. Pray for Brandon as he begins preparing a new group of missionaries for the field and for Liz as she manages their five kids while Brandon travels.  Pray for WO as they move their main office from Detroit to Orlando later this year.

Nick & Amanda

Pray for Nick and Amanda as they are wind down their language study and prepare for a three month home leave at the end of the school year. They will be welcoming a baby boy in early May. Pray for his safe delivery in their country and for the proper papers to travel back to the States. Pray for all the logistics for home leave, for finishing strong in their country, and for decisions regarding their future place of service.

The Prices

The Prices are grateful to be in their own apartment and are slowly making it their home. Pray for them as they meet their new neighbors and begin to build friendships in addition to the students he teaches. Pray that the heart of their Turkish friend who lives in the US will soften to the Son so they can someday call him a brother.
