Paul & Violette

Recovery is first and foremost in Paul and Violette Bridgman’s lives. Paul is recovering from gall bladder surgery which they are hopeful will solve his various medical issues, and Violette’s walking continues to improve as well as other medical issues. Pray they will have complete healing in God’s timing and wisdom regarding travel and returning to the field.

Steffen

Steffen’s church in Potsdam is doing well with 100 or so each Sunday. The coffee shop is rated #3 in the city. The owner of the #1 coffee shop was led to faith through Steffen’s church and has been asked by his denomination to be the leader of church planting in the former East Germany. Pray God will bless the staff transition at Steffen’s church, give him wisdom in training new staff, provide new church planters for his region, and bless the ministry of Mittendrin in engaging Potsdam with the gospel.

John M

John M has seen the Lord’s leading in the mariculture project through connections with church planters in the region both expatriate and national, hatchery design and investor funding, and finally providing a piece of land through a successful businessman who owns several islands. Pray they will cautiously move forward and ensure that all their goals and expectations are in alignment with God’s plan. Pray they can find a key national church planter to join them and train him for community development.

Chris & Debbie

Chris and Debbie Gibson ask prayer for their new EPC roles as they find themselves helping screen new missionaries, visiting missionaries with medical concerns, sharing about the ministry with EPC churches, and interfacing with other mission agencies on potential needs. This month they return to Budapest to assist the new couple moving into the Garden House and to look for a small apartment to use while they are there. In all this activity, pray they will have focused prayer time for the missionaries under their care.

Ryan & Glenda

Ryan and Glenda’s life is challenging as they are faced with not having a teacher for their three children, discovering that Rachel may have a genetic eye condition, and being told they must move from their house all in the same week. Pray for encouragement, for good news about Rachel’s eye, for Glenda’s allergies to end, and for a suitable house for the family. Praise that Ryan is transitioning from solely doing relief dental work to doing development work in the villages providing opportunities for one-on -one meetings and longer intentional relationships.

Campus Outreach ST Team

The first of four Campus Outreach teams leave tomorrow for South Africa to partner with the local CO staff and a local church. Pray for the team of twelve lead by Tony, Jenny, and Grace as they spend time building relationships in hopes of sharing the good news of Christ as well as their lives with students in Johannesburg. The team returns June 20.

John & Dawn

Though John and Dawn are on home assignment in the US, they travel to SE Asia for meetings with Area leaders, conferences and to renew visas. Pray for spirit guided wisdom and grace for the many regional concerns before them, and for the mind of Christ as they implement the plans formulated at these regional meetings. Pray for a special time with daughter Kristi in Thailand before returning to the States for the arrival of a grandchild and Luke’s marriage in June.

Ruslan & Zhanna

Ruslan and Zhanna were encouraged by the participation in the Young Life Leadership retreat and how the young leaders are maturing and for the strong, constant faithfulness of the old leaders. When Ruslan went to Tajikistan to meet with people interested in starting YL there, he had the unexpected pleasure of meeting an active, faithful team. Pray for Ruslan and the team to have what they need to start YL there.

Guille

Pray for the conference in Buenos Aires today and May 5 to be a means to help launch Mision Beta, a movement for Church Multiplication and City Transformation started by Guille MacKenzie and his team. Pray also for Guille’s other responsibilities as he continues as pastor of the Spanish congregation at Sin Heng New Revival Church and teaches Greek one semester at the Instituto Biblico Buenos Aires and for his continued health and strength.

The Prices

The Prices report that repeated bombings in their large Middle Eastern city have left the residents feeling hopeless. Almost like a ghost town, people are fearful and many have told them they have no hope for their life anymore. Pray this will open hearts and doors for the Prices as they interact with neighbors, students, and friends with the love of Christ. In a culture where orphans are hidden and adoption shameful, pray for the orphan care ministry she is trying to begin. For security reasons, pray they will be able to buy a reliable car to use.
