Fridtjof

Fridtjof Leemis, our partner in Germany, moved his church into a space vacated by a dying church. They have a program where 25 refugees live with 20 Germans in hostel like conditions for the sake of integration and social and job skills training. The property runs a coffee shop and the church hosts this operation. Pray for God to use this opportunity for His glory and to provide the necessary staff to oversee it.

Tim & Huilan

We are excited to have Tim and Huilan visiting our congregation today.  They ask prayer for their team and team leader and wisdom on how to shepherd the increasing number of people hungry for real spiritual food, and for the pastors with whom they work. Pray the trip home will provide encouragement, rest, and prepare them for the tasks ahead as they seek to equip pastors for their growing flocks.

Scott & Tina

Scott and Tina Lawrence are grateful that some key Ethiopian doctors have joined the medical team. Pray for approval of the hospital renovation plan and importation of equipment from the US. Praise for the surgical and spiritual outreach in Northern Ethiopia and that Scott has been invited to engage in strategic planning for SIM’s global medical work. Pray for the needed teachers at Bingham Academy where the boys are students.

Joe & Austia

Joe and Austia celebrate three years of ministry in SE Asia and are grateful for the continued good relationships with local fishermen and imam. While on home leave, they will miss these and other relationships built through walks in their neighborhood. Pray these friends will desire to study the word of God when Joe and Austia return in the fall. They ask for prayer for a network of individuals to pray for the Malay people.

The Youngs

As UWM regional leaders, the Youngs are learning about the Hub ministry as well as leading their own group, and ask prayer to be “inwardly strong, but outwardly focused”. The MEDIC program continues to be plagued with irregularities especially in the Sultanganj community. Pray for Joseph as he deals with these and that the agreement reached at the national trustees meeting will move ahead. Pray for healthy solution to an unhealthy situation at the Shalom Church plant in their city.

Andy & Brooke

Andy and Brooke were pleasantly surprised by the welcome they received upon returning to E. Asia. Even the apartment situation improved so much they decided to stay where they are for another year. Following a visit by the CO short term team and completion of tests and grades for 45 graduate students, Andy and Brooke will travel to Turkey and Jordan to train summer teams who will teach Chinese to foreigners. Pray for the whole family as they travel in different directions over the summer.

Norm & Ruth Ann

Ruth Ann Leduc’s trip to Eastern Europe and the Balkans put her in eleven countries having meaningful conversations, learning and ministering. Following Nathan’s graduation the family will enjoy a family vacation before tackling the office move into the new Pioneers Fletcher Center. Norm asks prayer for grace, wisdom, the logistics of moving while maintaining regular activities, and for God’s work in the hearts of the crew working on the site with whom they have shared the Gospel.

Brandon

Today begins a very important series of events in Brandon’s ministry. The PRM conference runs through June 17 followed by General Assembly and World Outreach leadership meetings June 21-27. Brandon will be training missionaries and helping them prepare for the field at these events. Pray for Brandon and Liz as they help equip these new missionaries for the tasks before them.

Tim B.

Tim B. shares that the four Young Life Camps he participated in were amazing and he was able to have great conversations. He continues to study Russian two days a week with a tutor, lead a small group of guys, all while teaching English at two schools, and PE at another on the other three days. Additionally, he is a fitness coach at a local gym teaching better lifestyles for the youth. Pray for his understanding of the Russian language and culture, and for leaders to rise up and live for the mission there.

CO S. Africa team

Continue to pray for the Campus Outreach team of fourteen in S. Africa under the leadership of Tony and Jenny Dentman and Grace Ufot, building relationships and sharing the gospel with university students in Johannesburg.  Pray for open and receptive hearts to the Gospel and for the team to grow to have a heart for long term missions. They return June 20th.
