Mike & Stephanie

Pray for Mike and Stephanie as they seek the Lord’s direction for their next transition as they finish their term in the Middle East, a difficult place to be. Help them to discern clearly what they know and believe, and how they live, that the journey will lead them as God has planned.

For more info on Mike & Stephanie, see page 10 of the prayer guide.

Greg & Sally

As Greg continues to battle prostate cancer he asks prayer for extraordinary strength of mind and body as he and Sally continue to fulfill God’s call on their time. They recently participated in an International Conference in Europe with 1,700 attendees and Greg delivered one of the messages. When home he and another man meet monthly with former missionaries now in their senior years and but actively working for the Savior.

For more info on Greg & Sally, see page 33 of the prayer guide.

Ruslan & Zhanna

Ruslan and Zhanna report their YL Camp was unusual in that they held two camps at the same time, one for YL campers and another for moms of campers with disabilities. These moms live in a culture that considers disability a curse and punishment. The campers were great teachers as they taught patience, compassion, and gratitude for the simplest gifts. Pray for these moms and campers to remember and reflect on how God’s love was lived out.

For more info on Ruslan & Zhanna, see page 22 of the prayer guide.

Kyle & Claudia

Kyle & Claudia report that La Mision-Flores rejoices that the first group of adolescents who were raised in the church have been confirmed into membership. Pray these young people will grow in their faith and commitment to the Lord. Safety continues to be an issue of concern as one Palermo pastoral assistant was robbed and stabbed in the leg. Pray for peace for this family as they await their first child in October.

For more info on Kyle & Claudia, see page 65 of the prayer guide.

Dave & Robin

The team that Dave and Robin took to Athens and Rome accomplished much in a short time. The men’s team worked in a new church plant renovating the building and buying supplies for refugee bags. In Athens they checked out a refugee center SGI has been supporting where roughly 200 men breakfast each day and educational programs are offered. Pray for direction about future team trips to Athens given the government’s handling of refugees changes frequently making it difficult for planning teams several months out.

For more info on Dave & Robin, see page 6 of the prayer guide.

Rob & Tunde

Rob and Tundi Futo are grateful for the help of an American team in caring for babies and kids ages 3-12 during the church family camp. Three young people gave their lives to Christ and they had one baptism. Many new friendships were formed and deep conversations took place. Following camp, the Futos took 24 youth to Austria for six days. Pray those who did not know the Lord came to saving faith and became part of the growing church.

For more info on Rob & Tunde, see page 41 of the prayer guide.

Herb

Herb reports that after repeated attempts eight of the doctors at Annoor have been accepted by the Medical Assoc. for a one year status. Pray for them as they have their education and credentials translated and approved by the Ministry of Health to complete the process, and for the ninth doctor to receive approval. Pray for the dedicated staff as they work diligently to heal the physical body and bring spiritual life in the process.

For more info on Herb, see page 9 of the prayer guide.

Judy

Judy Mbugua and her husband are both dealing with health issues with Richard recovering from surgery. Pray for their health and family matters that cause them concern. There are 20 students in the sewing ministry, and 30 women with HIV/AIDs are being served and ministered to daily. Ministry in the Kibera slums working with schools and churches reaches thousands, as does the radio/TV ministry. Pray for physical and financial strength for Judy and her team, and for peace in Nairobi.

For more info on Judy, see page 70 of the prayer guide.

Mitchell & Lisa

Praise the Lord that Mitchell Moore’s cancer had not spread and was downgraded from stage 3 to stage 1. He is only expected to have two rounds of preventative chemotherapy in August and September. Pray for the start of his ministry at First Presbyterian Church, San Antonio, and for the family’s transition to live in a new setting. Pray for the kids to easily make new friends and adjust to new schools.

For more info on Mitchell & Lisa, see page 35 of the prayer guide.

Stephen

Praise for the release of Stephen’s book “From Cairo to Christ” and the numerous opportunities it has given him for radio interviews. Following his brief visit with us, he returns to the European Training Center. The next ETC training will focus on Biblical team formation, how to work cooperatively, and conflict management within the team. The November course is the College of Prayer. As this ministry is directed to BMB believers, pray this will solidly ground them in Biblical truth.

For more info on Stephen, see page 8 of the prayer guide.
