Daryl & Marlene

Daryl Bussert asks prayer for administrative leadership taking action regarding results from the aviation audit in Australia and Indonesia. Many good and encouraging things were found, however there were also issues that need to be addressed. Pray as they review curriculum to assure relevancy and effectiveness in the various courses they teach, and that God will guide evaluations and assessments. Pray for sensitivity to opportunities God presents to JAARS outside of their plans.

Tim & Huilan

Tim asks prayer for house churches in their city as the government implements new policies regarding unregistered religious gatherings and organizations. Huilan and another church planter wife conducted Parakaleo Basic training to 12 house church planter wives from around the country. Pray it enables them to grow in their understanding of the gospel. Tim and Huilan ask prayer for a peaceful resolution to their family housing situation and in planning their furlough in June.

Kyle & Claudia

La Mision’s 20th anniversary celebration saw the church packed with people from all three La Mision sites worshiping together. It was special for Kyle and Claudia as La Mision brought them together years ago and established them as a missionary family. Pray as they strive to bring a discipleship focus into each area of ministry through arts, sports or small groups, and to connect with people and disciple them in their faith. Construyendo Suenos continues to struggle but is moving forward. Pray for Martha and Kyle as they reach out to kids and adults through classes and micro-business endeavors.

Bill & Lauren

Bill and Lauren are grateful for the warm welcome from their new team in Alhaurin de la Torre. They have settled into a new home and new routines with Abby and Will in a school so close to their house they can come home each day for lunch. Bill has been involved in counseling sessions with missionaries in town for care, and he and Lauren have been able to host several missionaries for meals in their home giving them firsthand knowledge of God’s work in different parts of the world.

WR Cambodia

Pray for all the World Relief Cambodia programs including the CEZ pilot in Tbong Khmom province and for the staff and volunteers to seek and encourage more people about the pilot project. Pray for cell church leaders and members within the pilot area to learn how to adopt the new plan. Pray for a continued strong relationship between Cell Church and volunteers and for safety for staff who travel daily back and forth in remote areas.

John & Dawn

This month John and Dawn are connecting with and ministering to their personnel from South and East Asia. Part of which is a spiritual formation training program, so they ask prayer for clarity in thought and expression. Next month John will head to the Middle East to speak at three different gatherings. Pray for safety and that the Father would continue to build His Church during that visit. Pray for wisdom, continued stamina, and focus needed to serve the teams of the SAMSEA region.

Bob & Janie

Bob Till has been in Germany working with friends in refugee ministry there. Pray his visit provided much needed encouragement and help, and for his time with Amir. Bob asks prayer for Amir’s ministry as he plants churches among new believers, and for safety in travel and among those he formerly knew. Pray for continuing work with refugees and that O’s family will be able to reunite in Germany.

David & Lisa

David and Lisa have been asked to provide a birth attendant or lay-midwifery basic training course to Tibetan women in remote villages. Mortality rate in these nomadic areas is 25% as medical help is sometimes a day away. Two years ago they conducted this training and ask prayer for God’s provision of trainers, timing, discovery of persons of peace (key people in the community who are favorable to them and the Gospel), and for the encouragement of believers in these remote areas.

For more info on David & Lisa, see page 57 of the prayer guide.

Ryan & Glenda

Ryan and Glenda report that work at Annoor and the villages has been going well and relatively smooth. They ask prayer for their two high schoolers who will have no other kids their age around after June. This spring Glenda made a lot of trips to Amman to give them opportunities to socialize at a co-op and with friends living there. After seven years without a furlough, they are planning home leave in July.  Pray for wisdom for long term decisions moving forward as they figure out the next steps as Annoor doesn’t help with education above 8th grade.

For more info on Ryan & Glenda, see page 4 of the prayer guide.

Jackie

Jackie is thankful for the opportunity to share some American traditions with members of her English class and prays more spiritual conversations will build from these friendships. Pray for the Indonesian Bible study she leads with believers from the same office where she teaches her Friday night English club. Pray for wisdom in planning the launch of several new women’s Bible studies and for time and material to study. Pray for God’s guidance as she also considers starting a library post in an under-resourced community to engage and build bridges to new relationships.
