Roger & Abi

Roger and Abi Lowther are involved with music and art in many venues and many ways. Roger participated in the GCOMM gathering in Kenya. Then they gave a concert and met with local artists while attending MTW’s meeting in Bangkok, followed by a concert in downtown Nagoya to help a new church plant build relationships with the community. Pray for the many ways they bring the hope and love of Christ to people through music and art.

John M.

John M’s team has grown a great deal, and they have been encouraged by the open doors and partnerships that have emerged over the past year. Getting the hatchery going and scaling up production of the business is a key priority to meet their goal of establishing more of a presence in the villages and branching out to other islands. They are in discussion with a third village on a nearby island. Pray for the right project manager to oversee construction of that site.

Austin

Pray for Austin Smith who is spending three months stateside working on some personal vision and heart level questions. Pray he will spend his time wisely acknowledging God’s timing and sovereignty. Pray for the CO team in Belo Horizonte and for the students they will be spending time with this semester, especially Henrique, Willian, Lucas, Joao, Fabio, and Gabriel.

For more info on Austin see page 71 of the prayer guide.

Thomas & Jennifer

Thomas and Jennifer realize some of the church members and guests do not feel confident reading the Bible on their own so they will begin teaching on “how to read the Bible”. Next year they hope to expand it to include use of a study Bible and ask prayer that God would provide funds for study Bibles for the class. They hope this will strengthen their ongoing Sunday worship ministry, men’s tea night, and their other ministry endeavors.

For more info on Thomas & Jennifer see page 61 of the prayer guide.

Marcelo

Marcelo Robles reports that with two new congregations the goal of 5 consolidated church plants in Buenos Aires by 2020 is quickly becoming a reality. The Flores group continues to serve the shanty town with a day care center for 150 children. Next year, they plan to start a day care center for 180 children at the growing Merlo location on the city’s west side. Pray for Marcelo as he gives oversight to these ongoing efforts to share the Gospel with all ages and groups throughout the city.

Lenden & Gemma

Pray for Lenden and Gemma, new 2PC partners, as they settle into long term ministry in Central Asia and for his residence visa to be quickly processed and approved. Thankfully they returned in time for the girls to start school. Pray for the family as they transition back into work, school and life. Lenden and Gemma ask prayer for encouragement when they get frustrated speaking the language and trying to work it out in conversation which can be exhausting.

China Partnership

The China Partnership requests prayer for the church in Xiamen suffering persecution under new religious regulations. Pray for provision of a safe space and to operate without disruption as well as protection of the Christian schools. Pray for a Spirit-empowered church in Kunming to take the gospel to people from all walks of life, and for the Lord to deliver the city from the bondage of sexual sin. Pray for deliverance as drug trafficking and drug use are rampant and a deeply-rooted problem.

Chris & Debbie

Sunrise House is the new facility located just outside Budapest that Chris and Debbie Gibson have started for EPC workers needing intensive counseling and rest. Although they will continue to go to workers where they serve, they now have an easily accessible place for missionaries to come for care, counseling, and spiritual nurturing. They give thanks for those who helped make the Sunrise House a reality and ask prayer for sensitivity to when and where to direct their time and energy.

For more info on Chris & Debbie see page 45 of the prayer guide.

Sundanese – David Team

For the David Team of the Sundanese Christian Fellowship, “obstacles are not reason” and they ask prayer for the Team and their families to stay motivated to reach the people in PWKU to be discipled. Though there are many obstacles awaiting the Judah Team they want to see more people receive salvation. Pray for safety and encouragement for the field staff to reach more people in their service area and for the four teams taking the Gospel to this large Indonesian unreached people group.

Andy & Brooke

Pray for Andy as he travels this month to Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong meeting with Campus Outreach International Directors for vision development and strategic planning, as well as relationship building and encouragement for staff. He will also visit several international options for expansion sites. Pray for God’s wisdom in leading, balance in ministry engagement, and focus in expanding the international work of CO.
