Pray for wisdom for Randy as he works with missionaries on issues of ministry expansion, team dynamics and work/life balance. Randy and Martha also want to minister to international students in their home. Pray for finalizing plans to move into a place strategically located near two schools with international students. Pray for the Lord’s guidance, favor and godly friends for adult children Joel and Rachel.

School is a priority in Larry Brown and his son Carey’s lives. Carey is a well rounded 11th grader doing well in both academics and sports. Larry teaches a full load at African Bible College but also finds time to visit the Dzaleka refugee camp. While there he met a group of believers from the DRC and was asked to preach. Now several of the young camp residents are coming as students to ABC. Pray for Larry’s tasks in educating future leaders of Malawi, and for encouragement and wisdom.

Nicole arrived in Indonesia right before the country’s Independence Day. During the celebration her parents shared with her that when she was born, they dedicated her to the Lord and specifically prayed she would become a missionary. Twenty-three years later the prayer is being answered. While taking a seminary course led by Richard Pratt, Nicole got to know a Brazilian missionary who is now her roommate. Pray for her transition and finding just the right place for Sol and her to live.

Pray for Greg and Elizabeth’s language study that involves going deeper with people and getting to know them better. They give thanks that their friend who was having difficulties reports the situation has improved and she praises the Lord for his goodness. Pray for Elizabeth and the baby girl she is carrying. Pray for their teammates return and for another joining them, and for open doors and opportunities.

Camilla Holmes leads a team to India to work with Raju and Catherine. The team including Betty Eubank, Joyce Small and Kathy Hammond will train women from the area, while Alan Hammond, Terri and Roy Fox, and Brad Jones will share their medical expertise with the staff of the hospital. Dan Burns and Josh Preston will conduct training to area pastors. Pray for health, safety, communications and spiritual breakthroughs as the Spirit works in and through his servants.

Chris and Debbie ask prayer as they resume ministry back in Budapest after being in the States for training seminars, planning with their member care team, and speaking to partnering churches and supporters. Pray they gained much from the seminar at Wycliffe headquarters and additional training in spiritual formation and prayer. Lastly, pray for both to feel better as he deals with foot issues and she had flu like symptoms.

Kyle and Claudia ask prayer for deciding the best times to offer the woodworking class to adults in the church. Two women in Claudia’s Palermo small groups work in homes for abused children – pray for opportunities to connect Christians to a secular environment and bring love to these children. Also pray for the 2PC/Downtown Church team that is currently there working with Kyle & Claudia and La Mision.

Pray for safety and a new community of friends for the Spencers now that they have moved to Johannesburg to start Genesis University. Pray for strategic partners in South Africa as they spread the vision of a Christian university, and for wisdom as they seek educational support to develop culturally relevant curriculum and pursue accreditation for the initial degree programs.

Bob and Janie had the opportunity to see the on-going work of the GEM teams at refugee camps on the Greek Island of Lesbos and the refugee centers in Athens. They continue to see people come to the Lord and be baptized. Most of the refugees are from countries where it is difficult to get access to the gospel, but now they have the freedom to hear the gospel. Pray for many to hear and come to the truth.

In September, Chile celebrated its Independence Day, and Lonquen Valley Presbyterian Church designed special patriotic outreaches to the community. Craig and Stacy have a new weekly home group ministry and have begun a new youth group to serve young people from 11th grade through university age which daughters Karis and Aimee help with. Pray for these new outreach endeavors. Pray for the Pohl family’s continued good health and diligence in the exercises needed to support their health.
