Steve & Lizzie

Steve and Lizzie are back into the routine of language study, learning more about the Romanian culture and investing in students. They are slowing learning what the issues are with Steve’s health and how to reach a long-term resolution. He is starting to feel better. Ministry travel has often taken them outside of Cluj for team meetings, conferences, and local ministry events across the country. Pray for their health, marriage, and assimilation into ministry work.

Roger & Abi

In preparing for the Summer Olympic Games Roger, Abi and their four sons ask we join with them on the 20th of each month to pray for the spread of the gospel throughout Japan, for building relationships between churches and their neighborhoods, for raising up more Japanese to be Christian leaders and pastors, to encourage some of the thousands of foreign volunteers for the Olympics to become long-term missionaries in Japan, and build strong foundations for the next decade of church planting and growth.

Chris & Jen

Pray for Chris and Jen and their three children, Dominic, James & Elaina, as they prepare to launch CO Serve in Athens. Pray for the older kids as they balance their feelings between leaving friends and a new adventure. Pray there will be a special nearness with the Lord and with each other in this time of transition. Pray they will trust the Lord to take care of the unforeseen things, and even now work in the hearts of the university students with a spiritual longing.

Valery & Janna

Valery and Janna express gratitude for Second’s partnership with them over last 20 years. Second has been supportive in helping to develop Wycliffe Bible Translators – Russia, a mission-sending vision for Russian churches. The accomplishments are impressive. They ask prayer for wisdom in their work with bold young leaders in Wycliffe Russia dealing with personal health problems, and for friends struggling with serious health issues. Pray God will continue to guide and bless their lives and ministry.

Jackie

Covenant City Church is launching four new community groups. Jackie will transition out of her current role so she can help launch an Indonesian speaking group which they hope will become a stepping-stone to form a core team for the Indonesian speaking service and church plant. Pray for the new leaders that the Lord will guide and equip them. Pray the new women’s Bible study will be an avenue to get to know more girls and bring them closer to the Father. Pray Elizabeth will grow as Jackie disciples her.

Bob & Janie

Bob and Janie report that all GEM personnel and teams have been evacuated from the island of Lesbos amid threats from Islanders and international negotiations between the European Union and Turkey. They ask prayer for the Greek government to quickly restore order and safety on the island, and follow through on promises made long ago to move refugees out of the overcrowded camps to the mainland. Pray for wisdom for Bob and Janie as decisions need to be made related to upcoming scheduled teams.

Mike & Stephanie

Mike is grateful for changes that have taken place in their lives and ministry over the past 18 months. WO’s ITEN (Intl. Theological Educational Network) contributes to “full cycle “church planting by training national leaders for missional impact among the least reached. Pray for clarity and anointing of the Spirit as Mike speaks, teaches and writes. Pray for a smooth introduction at the Nile Theological College and clear discernment for how ITEN might contribute to their ongoing ministry in NE Africa. Pray for Mike’s teaching and meeting with leaders in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Spain.

Jeff & Lynne

After many years of church planting which yielded little fruit, the Lord is leading Jeff to look at other ways of reaching the people where he serves. An opportunity to begin a community FM radio station on the island is in the works. Pray island officials will provide approval and land for the station, that Indonesian partners will provide staff and salaries, and for the purchase of necessary radio equipment. Pray God would cause this radio station to be the means of salvation to many people of the area.

Herb & Heather

Pray for the approval of Herb’s residency papers. He and Heather ask prayer for two of the 8 children of a Syrian refugee family living in the desert that are being treated at the hospital. They discovered both have Cystic Fibrosis and are testing the remaining six. Pray for healing and that the tragedy of war that struck this family will be redeemed by salvation, healing and deliverance. Often patients and employees are caught up in the life they lived before coming to the Good Shepherd. Pray for true deliverance from their past.
