Greg & Sally

Greg’s goals for the year include organizing three “Aspiring Team Leaders” huddles to prepare those who have shown giftedness to recruit teammates, recruit a long-term team from their home church to be sent to a Muslim city, and prepare a team leader and team to be sent out by the 30 churches of EPC’s Southwest Presbytery to the Pashtuns of Pakistan. Pray for continued health, strength, and wisdom as he moves forward with these goals.

Nicole

Nicole has started her second semester of language study and is learning Christian vocabulary words and daily reading the Bible in Indonesian to improve her comprehension. Her college friend Maria visited her from China and they were able to continue spiritual conversations. Pray her faith will grow and she will see how the Gospel impacts everyday life. Nicole asks we pray the Lord will encourage, strengthen, and embolden His workers all over Indonesia as they continue to build His kingdom and work for His glory.

Daryl & Marlene

In the changes being made at JAARS pray the computer hard drive which was misplaced can be found, giving Daryl an opportunity to review/archive/delete data as appropriate, and pray they will be spared more of these types of problems in the changeover. Pray for the on-going introductory trips with Chris and that they can work out a way for him to join an audit trip with another organization to Angola, Africa.

David & Aliece

Pray for David and Aliece to get some much-needed medical care for cardio issues while in the U.S. The exhaustive schedule he has been keeping contributes to his health as he often travels very long distances for security reasons, and sometimes teaches in facilities with no heat. Aliece’s Counseling Center with its new “Masters of Biblical Counseling” has doubled since 2018. Praise that her lifelong friend Vicky accepted the Lord and was baptized before she went home to the Lord. Pray they can be good stewards of God to faithfully parent their three children and find time to enjoy each other.

March 7th – Steffen

Pray for Steffen to have renewed health as he is on sabbatical from Mittendrin. He is thankful for the team of leaders, lay leaders and interns who keep the Potsdam church moving forward and growing. Pray for the “Entdeckerkurs” course participants to discover their faith, and that the church will see more parents and kids show up for the Winterspielplatz each week through March. Pray for wisdom, discernment and God’s vision for the team.

David & Lisa

David and Lisa are among the millions confined to their homes due to the coronavirus. They are grateful to have food and supplies but ask prayer for a refugee family of 11 from Pakistan they have been praying for and helping. The father died in Thailand, where Dave met them, because they had no money for medical treatment. They are baptized MBBs whose visas have expired and who have been rejected for refugee status. Pray they will find a sponsor so the family can find refuge.

For more info on David & Lisa see page 30 of the prayer guide.

Gabriel

Gabriel balances his time between the church and Blas Pascal Christian School as he arranges for groups coming to minister in the area. He has been going to different towns in the Yucatan Peninsula responding to requests for construction projects from several churches. He is also getting acquainted with their ministerial needs in order to support them with missionary teams. Presently there are 10 churches and a school in need of classrooms, roof and floors. He asks wisdom from above and the strength required to support these various needs.

For more info on Gabriel see page 72 of the prayer guide.

Faith

Pray for Faith as she completes her one year of service and has gotten engaged to Seme, a young man she met on a mission trip in 2018, and who works with children in Northern Uganda. Pray for her to be a blessing to the children’s ministry at her church and for her to wholeheartedly seek God. She is grateful to be able to give Bibles to some of the children at the school where she leads a Christian club. Pray she will follow God’s path for her future.

For more info on Faith see page 78 of the prayer guide.

Tim & Huilan

Tim and Huilan were pleased to be able to attend the KL2020 Conference to reconnect with some they had ministered to before having to leave their country of service. As they joined thousands, including a delegation from Second, they felt a deep gratitude from co-workers from the mainland who said “You came! Despite the fears you came!” Pray as Tim continues to train pastors on-line and Huilan works with the special program geared toward their wives.

For more info on Tim & Huilan see page 29 of the prayer guide.

Greg & Elizabeth

Praise for the safe arrival of Hermione Joy, daughter of Greg and Elizabeth, a much-traveled baby before she was born Jan. 23. It was necessary for her parents to make a brief roundtrip visit to the US to apply for residency status. Pray their visas come through quickly and as a family they can get on with service joining Nick and Amanda in ministry to Syrian refugees in a troubled area of the Middle East.
