Praise God for what he has done in Japan through Paul and Violette Bridgman, for pastor Osaka, and the elders and deacons of Sakuragaoka Church. Pray that the Lord would continue to protect this church and grow her both in number and in faith, as Paul and Violette return to the U.S. in August after 30 years of service in Japan. Pray that the Lord would bring salvation to their English students and the friends they are leaving behind. Ask the Lord to give the Bridgmans great physical strength and healing as they return, and that he would prepare them for this next stage of life in the US.

Welcome to new mission partner Debbie Pixley who will join Roger and Abi Lowther’s team at Grace City Church. After years of working as an engineer for two Japanese companies, Debbie sensed the Lord calling her to full time missions. Pray for the Lord to prepare her to use her technical and administrative gifting and experience for event planning and support for Grace City. Pray that the Lord will continue to draw her close by his Word and his Spirit, equipping her to serve faithfully and effectively in Tokyo.

Greg and Sally report that last year his prostate cancer returned. In April he had a procedure to remove a malignant mass from his bladder. Since that time, he has been taking massive doses of a new medication and scans are showing that the cancer is halted. Pray for Greg as he continues treatments, and for strength and energy to continue his ministry activities. Also pray for Sally who is dealing with an extended bout of depression. Pray for God’s grace, peace and mercy upon Greg and Sally.

Juan gives thanks that Maria will be taking 3 months leave after 9 years of teaching. They thank God for his strength, guidance, and protection in Maria’s life and for moving her close to home to teach. Pray for God to continue to give Juan good health to fulfill his tasks as a leader in the Presbyterian church. Praise Stephanie has finished her 2nd year of high school and Joanna is growing so fast. Pray for the Lord to guide their lives and future.

Jeff and Lynne ask for the Lord to bring merciful help to the COVID pandemic in their country, which has seen a huge spike and is in full lockdown. Pray for the Lord to pour out his spirit on the Rohinga refugees and for Lynne’s ministry to these women. They are providing ante and neonatal care, helping with childbirth. These refugees from Myanmar were driven from their homes, are the poorest in a poor country, and need much help, including the good news of Jesus. Pray that these women and their families would receive the care they need and see Jesus as their provider.

Clarke and Khrystya praise God for providing her with a green card allowing them to serve long term with MTW and move to St. Louis in August for Clarke to complete his MDiv and obtain a counseling degree at Covenant. Ask the Lord to bless their travels in the US as they meet with supporters, and for Clarke as he will preach and teach while here. Pray for the Church of the Holy Trinity in Ukraine and for Katya, Khrystya’s best friend, who came to Christ through their RUF ministry. Pray for the 13 American college students and 2 Ukrainian students who will serve there this summer.

Steve and Margaret Winstead and their four boys are back in Memphis for the summer. Pray for a great time of rest and fun for the boys, and for Steve as he preaches and teaches while here. Pray for their church, IEC, for the workers that are needed as they focus on discipleship and membership. Pray for peaceful elections in Ethiopia and for peace in the areas of unrest in the country. They have an agreement to purchase a car for Margaret, pray for all the steps to finalize the sale.

Pray for Dean and Kyria ask for healing for Dean’s Achille’s tendon, which has not improved as hoped. Pray for guidance for Kyria as she researches the various scripture translation projects in their country’s minority languages. Pray for the Lord to provide deep friendships with local friends that will lead to spiritual conversations. Pray for more people to be vaccinated as a new law requires proof of a COVID vaccine for attendance in worship and prohibits children under age 14. Pray for creative solutions to these restrictions.

Craig and Stacy Pohl give praise for their 20+ years in Ecuador and Chile but have felt the Lord leading them to a new place and people. They will be moving to Japan! They will be on home assignment in the U.S. until March 2022. Pray for their time in the states to be refreshing and meaningful visiting with family and supporters. Pray for all the logistics of moving their belongings from S. America to Japan. Pray for the Lord to continue to bless his church in Chile, and that he would prepare the hearts of many who would believe in Japan.

Herb & Heather report that they need miracles at Annoor. Pray for hearts to be renewed in Jesus every day, for local staff and patients to surrender to the One who died and rose again for them. Pray for TB patients who have heart breaking social circumstances that need the miraculous intervention of a loving Savior. Pray for their relationships with the government bureaucracy as they are starting applications to renew their annual residence permits four to six months ahead of time because the process has become that involved.
