Chris and Debbie Gibson are thankful to be back in Budapest at their home and ministry center, the Sunrise House. Ask the Lord to bring light and life, peace, healing, and joy to the missionaries who come for rest and counseling. Pray that Holy Spirit would provide Chris and Debbie with insight, discernment, wisdom, and empathy as they minister to these brave warriors. Pray for the nation of Hungary as Covid numbers are beginning to rise again. Praise God that the two cancer scares that Debbie had proved to be benign and treatable. Ask the God of all Comfort to comfort and encourage his workers through the Gibson’s ministry.

Thomas and Jennifer are halfway through their home leave and praise God that Ashley and Tyler are adjusting to life in the US. Pray for them as they miss their friends in Jhongpu. Pray for Jordan and Bella and for Sanhe Gospel Church as they navigate church life on their own. Ask the Lord to strengthen and encourage pastor Jordan and provide a mentor and leadership for the church. Pray for Thomas and Jennifer as they teach, preach, connect with supporters and he continues his seminary studies. Ask the Lord to use Jennifer powerfully as a Missions consultant, that many would be called and equipped for the mission field.

Brian and Joanne send greetings and prayer requests from their church plant on the Arabian Peninsula. Praise God for bringing people from dozens of nations to worship together! Brian asks prayer for their student ministry partnership, that the Lord will move powerfully across the college campuses. Pray for their four pastoral interns, that the Lord will bless them as church planters and shepherds. Praise God for bringing many to their Friday services. Pray for conversions, as the Gospel is shared. Pray for the Lord to pour out his Spirit on the Arab nations.

Aaliyah shares that she is engaged to Sura, a wonderful man she met at church. Ask the Lord to bless their premarital counseling as they prepare for a life together serving the Lord. Due to fighting in Ethiopia, Bingham Academy is back to remote learning and Aaliyah and other teachers have temporarily relocated to Kenya. Pray for them as they regroup and figure out their next steps. Pray that God would continue to bless Aaliyah as she teaches social studies, sociology, and service learning. Ask the Lord to bring her students and their families to Christ. Pray for peace and safety in Addis Ababa, and for an end to war in Ethiopia.

National partners Leonardo and Valeria DeChirico pastor and serve Breccia di Roma, a strong evangelical church in the Catholic heart of Rome. Ask the Lord to continue to use Leonardo powerfully, not only as pastor, but as he teaches in IFED theological courses. Ask the Lord to use Leonardo’s new book, “Same Words, Different Worlds”, to bring salvation within traditional Catholicism. Pray that the doctrines of grace will reveal the completed work of Jesus, and many will come to saving faith by grace alone. Ask the Lord to provide the prayers and support needed for their building, and for the various ministries of the church.

God continues to use Daryl and Marlene Bussert and their partners at JAARS to reach remote island peoples who could not be reached otherwise. Praise God for the work on Mfangano Island on Lake Victoria, Kenya. Praise God for the protection that he has provided from Covid and pray for the Lord to use Daryl in the Maritime and Land Transportation department to equip laborers to reach the lost. Pray for the leaders of the JAARS board this month, for God to direct the leaders to the areas where He is working. Praise God for providing this ministry which trains and equips workers to safely reach previously unreached people.

Craig and Stacy Pohl spent 8 years in Chile. Praise God for Lonquen Valley Presbyterian Church in Santiago, as well as the Chilean Presbyterian denomination. Pray for the Pohls as they commit to a new, young, international team being formed in Japan. Pray for them as they join Kaihin Makuhari Grace Church’s plant of a bilingual congregation and begin outreach to high school and college students. Pray for quick acquisition of the Japanese language, and adjustment to the culture. Pray for their support team and all the logistics needed for them to move to Japan in April 2022.  Pray for daughters Aimee and Karis as they heal from heart arrythmia and Covid, respectively.

John and Dawn remain stateside, as do so many mission partners, but he continues his leadership responsibilities with his agency. John and Dawn are celebrating God’s rich mercy, allowing their doctor to discover a stage 1 cancer in Dawn. Her prognosis is excellent as she starts a treatment regimen. Dawn reports that this has always been her greatest fear, and God is HERE!  He trapped them in the U.S. through Covid and put them in just the right hands to discover this cancer early on. Please praise God for his gentle mercy.

Our partner Gabriel Morales with Shalom Church in Merida, Mexico is celebrating God’s work through groups from Athens, Ga, Atlanta, Ga, and North Carolina.  These groups worked diligently on several construction projects and built strong relationships between the churches. Pray that the Lord would enable Shalom to complete each project. Pray for Gabriel’s family, wife Norma, and children Gabriel and Diego and for the Vision team of Leticia, Denny, Pedro, and Guido. Ask the Lord to pour out his Spirit on the Yucatan and continue the work that he has begun in so many of our 2PC youth from past mission trips.

Jeremiah Davis and his CO Zambia team are excited that God is working among the students there. While Covid restrictions are still in place, they have been able to schedule time individually with their disciples and see good spiritual growth.  Pray for the Lord to build laborers for the campus. Praise God for his faithfulness to Jeremiah through these difficult months of Covid. Ask the Lord to draw students to their Leadership Project this month and to the cross cultural project at the end of the school year.  Pray for the team’s health and safety, and that God would provide his Spirit in great power to encourage them and guide them.
