Jeff and Lynne ask prayer for support of the 525 Initiative, a locally driven program to see national fellowships multiply in every district of the country within the next five years. Pray the 52 week prayer guide will be published and available for use next month and that local churches would commit to pray, adopt, and send laborers to all 52 districts of the country.

Larry Brown asks prayer for the country of Malawi with hunger increasing and the currency in a tailspin. African Bible College, where he teaches, is partnering with African Business Institute which teaches business expertise to selected graduates to create more African entrepreneurs. The church is growing but the desperate need is for more trained leaders. Pray for the training of spiritual leaders and business leaders through these joint efforts.

After living in East Asia for 13 years Brian and Cary have returned to the US for Brian’s new role as National Operations Director for Cru. They will be based in Denver. Cary will be helping to care for the fifty plus Cru staff serving around the world. Pray for them as they adjust to their new roles and location.

Pray for Mitchell and Lisa as they respond to God’s call on their time and resources. Pray for Mitchell to be wise and discerning in delegating his time to the many requests at the university, and for some structural changes that need to be made.  Pray for Lisa to finish her RN to BSN, and for both of them to grow in cultural and language acquisition. Pray that as a family they would develop good and lasting friendships with peers and delight in God’s provision.

Pray for Chris and Kirsten Furr as they have been asked to open UWM’s second global East Mountain location in Scotland in 2017, a unique missional center for leadership training, spiritual formation, and societal and church change. In July, they will begin a 10 month US home leave before moving to Edinburgh. Pray for Kirsten as she will homeschool the children for the next year.  Pray for all the changes and adjustments this move means, especially for Reese as France is the only home he has known.

Pray for God’s coordination of the prayer retreat Randy and Martha are working on with national church leaders in their area to mobilize more interest and purpose in reaching people of another faith with the gospel. Pray the IT business will increase with at least 1-2 new projects, and for their long term visa process as many field workers are experiencing strict requirements. Pray for their children graduating next month and all the preparations needed for university study in the US.

Scott and Tina Lawrence are finding that Ethiopia has changed their family in a good way.  Scott participated with medical professionals doing an outreach in rural Ethiopia where patients traveled for days, sometimes on stretchers, and camped out at night to get medical attention. That week they treated over 2,000 patients and performed hundreds of sight-saving surgeries. Pray for the Lawrence’s as they reach out to patients, neighbors, and friends with the love and grace of Jesus.

While Pioneers teams are doing relief and outreach to Syrian and Iraqi refugees in camps through medical aid, education, children’s home, and Arab World Media in Europe, Norm and Ruth Ann are bringing the love of Jesus to people searching for hope and meaning as the construction of Pioneers Fletcher Center in Orlando continues. A sudden death at the site opened opportunities for spiritual conversations, pray these will bring hope and peace where is it is needed.

Paul and Violette Bridgman ask prayer that she will be able to walk without limping and that her bones will get stronger with the new medication she is on, and for resolution to his issue following hernia surgery. Pray for wisdom on how to best care for her parents and get them into a stable situation. Pray God’s wisdom and guidance as to how they will contribute to the growth and edification of Sakuragaoka Church during their next term in Japan.

Stephen has been asked by EPC/WO to head a ministry among refugees in Europe requiring him to spend several months each year there. He traveled to the Netherlands to do three trainings to teach how to evangelize and follow up on Muslims to help them with refugees coming to Europe. Pray for his next trip to Spain and other countries as part of his new job.
