Jamila shares, that although it is not quite official, it seems her team will be staying in Thailand until the summer. East Asia just isn’t ready to open up & her team needs to be able to pause on all the new transitions for a while. Pray the team would use this time to draw closer to each other and to the Lord. Pray their students would still be able to easily learn and retain their knowledge via remote learning. Pray they will find peace, joy and patience as they wait to go to East Asia.

The East Asia Partnership asks that we pray for Chinese Christians to understand their unshakeable identity as God’s children, to understand their mission, and worship God amidst persecution and hardship. Pray for them to remember that God uses every situation to work for his Great Commission. Pray for the Chinese Christian schools, which are under enormous pressure.

Our national partner in Indonesia asks prayer for the people of West Java. Pray for the many teams to take the Gospel to the Sudanese, Betawi, Bantonese, and Baduy people. Ask the Lord to raise up the specific workers and leaders that are needed. Pray for Nirma and Yusuf as they lead the Timothy team, and that God would work in Anzar’s group, his family, and friends. Praise God for the baptism of Alice and Paul; pray that Albert, Jeff, and Calvin would want to be baptized as well. Pray for Herman’s group, that Harry would desire to be baptized and for Bud and Tengar, that they would grow in their discipleship, and disciple others

Our newest mission partner Teresa is raising support to join her church planting team in Thailand. Teresa came to Christ early in life and from high school has sensed a call to overseas missions. A trip to Thailand in 2015 to visit a friend exposed her to the need for the Gospel there, and in 2019 she served a 6-month internship with Grace City Bangkok. Pray that the Lord would provide the prayer and giving partners needed to get onto the field. Ask the Lord to pour out His Spirit on Grace City Church, the nation of Thailand, and to before her preparing the hearts of those who would believe.

Praise God for the launch of Pangrati Church in Athens, Greece, the latest plant of our friends and partners at Glyfada Church. Pray for George Tolias as he pastors Glyfada, and oversees this new church plant, strategically located among the refugee population of Athens. Ask the Lord to move powerfully, bringing many of these refugees to salvation, and making them to be laborers to eventually take the Gospel back to their home nations. Pray for God to raise up leaders for Pangrati Church and grow it both in number and in faith. Thank the Lord for his movement in Athens, and throughout the refugee communities of Europe.

The Youngs enjoyed time in the U.S. with relatives and friends. Upon arrival in their new city of Jaipur, he started experiencing some health issues. A week later he underwent surgery for a hematoma in his brain. The surgery was a success and he is now back home, pray for his continued recovery. Pray that God will give them good relationships with both people who follow Jesus and with those who may not even know who He is. Other countries in Asia are also opening to visitors. Pray for them as they hope to spend time with their colleagues in the region after a long time of only virtual meetings.

Continue to pray for Lebanon. Conditions are such that our partners who serve there have returned to the states to await improvement. Pray for Greg and Elizabeth and their daughter as they await the arrival of twins. Pray for Nick and Amanda and their kids as they navigate this uncertainty. Pray for Robby and Joyce as they lead the Philemon project serving the refugee children of Beirut. Pray for the many refugees and citizens of Beirut. Ask God to provide a stable and responsive government, and provide food, water, electricity, housing, jobs, etc. Pray that the Lord would bring salvation through the suffering in Beirut.

Pray for wisdom for John M. and his team as they lead the SE Asia mariculture ministry and develop their sea cucumber hatchery. Pray He would use it as a vehicle to support the laborers there, as well as a means of sharing the Gospel. Pray for partner Sean who is in the states waiting for reentry into Indonesia. Praise John is back for the first time since Covid began and is meeting once again with the leaders on the ground. Pray for good solutions to business challenges: for workers who are equipped for the business and gifted to plant churches among the island people. Ask the Lord to pour out His Spirit on the region.

Tim continues the difficult work of seminary training in East Asia amidst government oppression and Covid. Praise God for 20 new students in their seminary. Ask the Lord for encouragement and stamina in the face of opposition. Huilan asks prayer for her Parakaleo ministry that provides training for wives of the church planters. Please pray earnestly for sisters and brothers in detention and for the Lord to give his church in this nation what they need to be found faithful. Praise Wang Yi’s wife was able to visit for the first time in 3 years. Ask for more grace and more mercy, and for continued advancement of the Gospel.

Pray for Greg and Sally, for the Lord to provide relief for Sally and her cyclical depression which has returned, and for healing and stamina for Greg as he fights cancer. Praise he still has the energy to labor daily, responding to requests from partners around the world. Pray for much needed laborers, particularly for a team of six to go from their local church to an unreached Muslim group. Pray for Greg as he encourages a group of 9 missionaries and a group of men twice a month. Ask the Lord to give Greg and Sally what they need to finish well.
