Larry Brown and Carey are back in Memphis for a year-long furlough and for Carey to attend John Brown University. Pray for Carey’s adjustment to college and living in the U.S. fulltime and for the Lord to draw him nearer to Himself. Pray for Larry as he becomes an empty nester. Pray for Larry to be refreshed, have opportunities to visit family and meet with friends and churches, and for the Lord to bless this time in the U.S.

Kyle and Claudia Zimmerman praise God that son Isaiah is settled into college in the U.S., and that Kyle has safely returned home to Buenos Aires. Pray that the Lord would encourage Isaiah as he is on his own in a new culture. Praise God that their daughters are back in school for full days after a year of virtual learning.  Ask the Lord to move through their small groups, church services (with Covid protocols), and one on one evangelism – ask Him to bring salvation.  Pray for the many church members who have lost jobs and loved ones.  Praise God for his many mercies.

Praise God that Paul and Violette Bridgman are home in Arkansas after a lifetime of church planting in Japan. Pray for pastor Osaka and Sakuragaoka Church for the Lord to continue to grow the church, make them church planters, use the evangelistic efforts to bring salvation, for children to come to the outreach events and English classes, and that God would reveal Himself to them. Praise God for helping Paul and Violette with the move and pray for the Lord to lead them to good doctors in Conway and bring rest and healing to their bodies and souls.  Ask the Lord to continue to use them as his ambassadors.

David and Lisa continue to labor in their closed country where government opposition is increasing. Pray that the Lord would allow them to remain in the country by providing successful renewal of their visas in December. Ask the Lord to protect their health, as well as for daughter Bella. Pray for daughter E who is expecting a child. Ask the Lord to move among the hill country people and raise up laborers from among the T people.

Jackie reports things are finally reopening in Jakarta with a steady decline in Covid and an increase in vaccinations. Praise God that people are willing to meet in small groups again. Pray for the church planting team, especially new member Ellie. Pray for the Lord to use the online meetings, Bible study, and GatherTown platform to sustain and grow his church. Bless the Bible study that Jackie and her group are studying at the same time as the women at Second!  Praise God for the two women now leading the Indonesian language groups!  Jackie asks prayer for reconnection, reopening, and for the Lord to bless their church planting team.

Jamila and her team are in Thailand. They still desire to teach ESL in a closed country, but as the path there has been blocked, the Lord has opened a door to Thailand. Their target country has a population of 6-9 million people in Chiang Mai. They will teach online classes through the university – half will be prerecorded, and half will be live.  Ask God to bless this teaching, using it to bring salvation. Praise God that Jamila senses a call to long term service overseas.  Pray for protection from Covid, for the Lord to grow their team, and open a door for ministry within their target country.

Covid continues to keep Steve and Marion in the U.S. waiting to depart for S. Africa to form Genesis University, a Christian university in Johannesburg. They have moved to Florida to meet new donors and churches and spread the news about Genesis. Praise God for providing over $1.5 million already, pray for the Lord to provide the other half of the money needed. Ask the Lord to prepare the hearts of the students who will study at Genesis. Pray for God to bless and sustain the Spencer’s large family and get great glory in their lives.

Thomas and Jennifer are 3 months into their home assignment in Texas. Pray for them as they speak and preach about Taiwan in local churches. Ask the Lord to bless their support team and for protection as they wait for the quarantine period to end after receiving Covid vaccinations. Pray their children as they adjust to life in the U.S., their new school and for the Lord to give them friends here as they miss their Taiwanese friends. Pray that the Lord will grow Gang, F, Fang, and Jane in their faith and provide a long-term team for their city. Pray for God’s blessing on the women’s soccer at the MJU campus. Pray for an end to Covid and for the Lord to sustain the pastor and members of Sprout Church as they cannot meet in person.
