Karen

Karen T. has returned to Cambodia for another year of teaching a variety of subjects, and also serving as office manager of ELIC in the library. Pray that as she teaches she will be able to build some personal relationships that will open doors for meaningful conversation. Also pray for Karen to have direction when this current commitment is complete.

Special Project

As a congregation we are often not aware of the impact of special projects we have supported. One of these is the Khushbu Project which has helped so many grow in literacy, work skills and the knowledge and love of God. Jonathan and Sharon Abraham head up this team and face many challenges. Pray against the opposition of local authorities and spiritual forces so prevalent in the region.

E. Asia ST Team

Mike R., Fang, Ron S., and Sandy W. will travel to E Asia to meet with former Second attendees and others as they renew acquaintances and get to know their current status. Pray for the logistics, travel, and connections as they go in different directions and pray they will not encounter any unforeseen obstacles in travel or meetings.

Greg & Sally

Continue to pray for Greg L. as he undergoes treatment for prostate cancer and for Sally battling recurring bouts of depression. They are grateful for a treatment center near their California home. Greg has been asked to team up with long-time trainers in placing and coaching new missionaries who are preparing to work with Muslims overseas. Pray for strength and a measure of health that allows him to assist in this work.

Craig & Stacy

Craig and Stacy Pohl are engaged in training Christian educators in Chile. Pray for Craig and other pastors as they seek God’s wisdom in developing plans to transition the current theological academy into a more robust seminary format. Pray that God would clearly direct Craig and his family as they discern their particular ministry calling whether it be this potential seminary, local churches, or other ministries in Chile.

Johnson

Uganda Bible Institute continues to grow as more students enroll and are trained and commissioned for ministry. A bachelor of theology degree will be offered adding another level of education. Johnson Twinomujuni leads this growing institution and is also seeing education in his own family growing as his wife Joy has finished her theology degree and is helping with female students. Pray for Johnson’s strength and leadership as he oversees the school.

Tim

Tim B. has settled back into a regular routine after serving at three camps reaching over 200 youth. He was grateful to have a few in-depth conversations with some new brothers and asks prayer for many of the youth who attend weekly club time to come with hearts open to the Father. Pray for Vlad, Oma, and Tyson.

Laura

Pray for Laura N. as she completes her support team and prepares to depart for ministry with our team at Annoor. She will be teaching the missionary kids giving moms more opportunity to serve the patients. Pray for Laura to integrate into the community and begin learning the culture as she works with the kids at the school and has opportunities to interact with the staff and patients at the hospital. Pray for prioritizing her time and for creativity in working with the kids.

Bob

Bob Till expresses thanks for the many prayers for their friend Amir who is now planting a new church and baptized 20 new MB believers. Pray for Amir’s safety and for a safer apartment. Pray for GEM workers, Jenny and Kim, who left their home in Germany to serve on a Grecian island and the ongoing needs of the great influx of refugees.

Gibson

Gibson is grateful that Vuso Jere is serving as a flagship for other WR Malawi staff and church partners. Praise for the positive changes among participating communities with improved home hygiene and healthy babies, and for the 136 church leaders from four church networks strengthening Word and Deed ministries in their communities. Pray for God to strengthen all staff as they work to train church leaders and community members in integrated programs to serve the most vulnerable.
