John & Dawn give praise that prayer cells, leadership meetings, mentoring opportunities and discussion groups are no longer just local but often include those from time zones all around the world thanks to the technology of Zoom. Jeremiah Davis reports that Zambia is experiencing a third wave of Covid, so ministry has been moved to virtual contact. Pray that the Lord would cause Covid to subside. Ask the Lord to bless the Bible studies, and that the students and staff would grow in their understanding and love of Jesus. Jeremiah was grateful to participate virtually in the marriage of one of his best friends at Second. He asks for Godly wisdom in their work and that many would pray with them and for them each day. Brian & Joanne praise God that the hindrance of the government forcing all Christians into one building proved to be a blessing. Pray for conversions as Covenant Hope Church members labor in evangelism, and for those ministering in India, Brazil and elsewhere. Pray for Aaron to grow in faith, rather than fear of gathering with believers. Pray for Brian’s teaching opportunities in Iraq in August and India in October. Today Judy Mbugua celebrates 40 years of Homecare Spiritual Fellowship, the ministry that she began. This ministry combines teaching and preaching, outreach to children in the Kibera slum, and radio, and television broadcasts throughout Africa. Pray for production of a documentary film covering these 40 years, and for Judy who is writing a book to document God’s faithfulness. Pray for physical strength for her and husband Richard, and for stamina to complete these projects while continuing their ministry. The theme of the celebration is “See what God has done”. Pray that He alone will receive glory and honor.

Pray for Nicole as the Covid pandemic begins another surge in Indonesia and worship and meetings have returned to online. The second semester of her English classes have begun, pray for opportunities to meet students outside of class. Pray for Amy’s salvation as Nicole meets with her. Pray that the Lord would continue to move on the island of Sumatra and strengthen the CP-ers working there. Pray for God’s work in the hearts of those who attended National Bible Camp, for many to come to salvation and for many workers for South Asia.

Pray for Ruslan and Zhanna as they run Young Life Central Asia, and for grace and peace as they grieve his mother’s death from cancer. Ruslan asks for the Lord to provide workers and double their team this year because the harvest is still great. Pray that Covid would subside, and that God would grant them wisdom and strategies to advance his Kingdom despite the pandemic. Pray for grace, peace, joy, and unity for the church in Central Asia. Clarke and Khrystya are currently in the states, away from their work in Ukraine. Pray for God to bless the work at Holy Trinity Church in their absence. Pray for their VBS, for the 50 kids to learn of Christ and his church and carry it home to their families. Pray especially for their neighbor Sasha, who will attend. Ask the Lord to raise up lifetime laborers through this VBS and at the English Camp the next week. Pray for God to bless Clarke and Khrystya during their time in the states.

Daryl and Marlene give praise for the completion of a large Maritime safety project report that will provide a platform for missionaries to safely reach the most remote locations where the Gospel needs to be heard. Praise God that Daryl will be able to represent JAARS at an Air Show in Wisconsin. Pray that the Lord will use this show to engage new workers for their ministry. Ask the Lord for guidance as their mission continues to grow and restructure and that the Lord would use them powerfully to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

David and Aliece report they are safe but ask prayer for those under great persecution. Their church has been visited by 50+ police and all the leaders have been taken in for questioning. Providentially, David and Aliece were not there that day, because as foreigners their status in the country would have been at risk. Five churches that they serve have been threatened into disbanding but have moved to online services. Praise God that amidst persecution the church is growing and expanding. Pray for Aliece as she carries baby #4 due in October.

Faith shares that Uganda is locked down again because of Covid. Pray for her, husband Seme, and baby Elias Owen as they spend their first wedding anniversary without guests, due to Covid. Ask the Lord to bless their family devotions, and church home fellowships which will still meet. Pray that God will work in the hearts of the teenagers in the Commitment Class of their church. Praise God that the church’s organization, Truth Works Intl., has been officially registered with the government! Praise God for his blessing on the women’s conference. Pray for Uganda, that the Lord would bring revival to this nation.
