Herb & Heather

Herb and Heather are beginning a three-month home leave. Pray their time in Canada and the US will be productive, refreshing, and restorative as they attend daughter Honor’s graduation and a combined family gathering. Pray for all to go well at Annoor in their absence and for a long-awaited breakthrough in the hearts of the Bedouins.

Paul & Violette

Paul and Violette Bridgman are grateful the Sakuragaoka Church voted unanimously to accept Mr. Osaka as pastor beginning at Easter. Mrs. Katayama and her daughters are moving back to their old home, pray the many contacts, seekers, and new believers that are a result of the Katayama family’s ministry will stay with the church and continue to be discipled into the body of Christ. Pray for the church leadership team to have wisdom and vision to lead the Church and work with the new pastor.

Brian & Terri

Brian F reports that the LEAD team is fully equipped with education visas and now study formal Thai language two hours each afternoon learning about contextualizing ministry. Pray for Brian and Terri as they join these young millennials in language learning at a slower pace. The bi-weekly “Vision Night” evangelistic meetings begin with dinner, ice-breaker activities and a testimony. Pray for these to be effective in bringing more students, and for the evangelistic soccer event each week.

The Youngs

The Youngs are grateful their young friend Sonu and his mom Sunita want to be baptized and that Sonu asked prayer for his zeal for the Lord to be rekindled. To this end they have started Bible study with him and his Hindu friend, K. Pray for good reconnection and for opportunities to follow up with folks in Q and A’s neighborhood. Pray also for the team as they figure out their new visa and ministry platforms, and for peace amidst a lack of clarity.

Thomas & Jennifer

Thomas and Jennifer are grateful they were able to share the good news clearly, with both the children and their parents, during their winter VBS. And many of the parents came to their Sunday church service. They ask prayer for God to provide the right pastor for their church. Praise God that Tyler now has a speech therapist. Pray he will grow in his speech and be happier in his school. Pray for more non-missionary kids to enroll in the school making it financially viable. Thomas is starting a weekly men’s tea night, pray there will be a genuine spiritual interest.

Jackie

Jackie’s word for this year is “rooted”. Pray for her as she desires to be rooted in her work, locale, and relationships. Pray God will continue to raise up more leaders in the church so it can grow in all areas, including the women’s ministry. Pray for Jackie’s friend Irene who has a desire to be involved in women’s ministry, that she would guide her well and, also reach out to the majority people of the city. Pray for Jackie to be intentional and a wise steward of her time iwth her many commitments.

Raju & Catherine

Kachhwa Transformational Ministries, under Raju’s leadership, focuses on 10 districts in eastern India. Catherine is one of the senior women’s leaders. In addition to weekly worship and teaching in these churches, young leaders are being taught on a weekly basis. Many of the participants in the house churches are illiterate and need the word of God taught orally, so monthly gatherings are planned to accomplish this. Pray for Raju and Catherine as they address the many demands of a vast ministry.

Jonathan & Amy

Jonathan and Amy rejoice that a baby is on the way! They ask prayer for Casalecchio, that the Spirit would move in the lives of people drawing them to Himself, and for Jonathan as he shares in the preaching. Praise they started a women’s Bible Study and 11 women responded. Pray for the new people from diverse backgrounds coming to the church and for their landlord’s family, Paolo, Laura, and Sara, as well as Vera a neighbor, to come to saving faith in Christ.

PARI Teams

Pray for the three Sundanese Christian Fellowship teams: The Judah Team began reaching out to their families and two opened a house church as a result of the youth ministry, discipleship, tutoring, and health activities. The Paul Team formed two house fellowships and have been able to work with several government institutions, schools and libraries. The David Team is focused on four districts getting to know the area spiritually and geographically. Pray for the platforms and staff of each of these teams as they bring light into a very dark area.

Bob & Janie

Bob asks prayer that Amir will be granted asylum to stay in Germany, get his citizenship, and be permitted to move where his church planting work is centered. He faces many challenges as he continues to bring refugees to Christ and establish a church among them. In Greece new Christians from Muslim backgrounds were attacked for their faith. Bob and Janie ask prayer for new believers to be able to grow in their faith as they face opposition and threats.
