Mike and Stephanie are very engaged in their seminary work in the Middle East and seeing students do incredible things. They rejoice as they see these Arab believers reaching out to their own people with the love and grace of Jesus. On the other side, many of their students preparing to graduate find they have no home country to return to nor employment waiting for them. Pray for God’s love and grace for each of them as they walk through a challenging season.
Pray for Roger and Abi Lowther’s outreach to the people of Japan through music and art. They have been granted a wider opening for securing property for Community Arts Tokyo which would serve as a Faith and Art Center. Pray for God’s wisdom and direction as they move forward fixing their eyes on Jesus in all things, ministry and personal.
Johnson Twinomujuni reports that in addition to resident, recess, and in-service students, Uganda Bible Institute has received another 20 people to be prepared for ordination. They are working out final logistics to begin a bachelor’s degree in theology under Bishop Stuart University, a sister institution and chartered university. BSU will be the awarding body but the program will be conducted at UBI. Pray for all of these preparatory programs in which UBI is engaged training and equipping church leaders.
Now that Maria has graduated she has more opportunity to assist Juan Patt in the Belize ministry. A women’s group has begun meeting, pray it strengthens the women of the church to grow in their faith. Men are meeting twice a month for fellowship to grow closer in Christ and be accountable to each other. Pray for more outreach to the young men of the community especially through the planned soccer camp in June.
Pray for World Relief Cambodia working in some of the poorest rural communities bringing financial management and savings training to thousands of adults helping them escape cyclical poverty through “Savings for Life” groups. These groups are formed in provinces, integrated with existing church mobilization members, and include biblical teaching. Pray the savings will be life changing and positively impact the families.
Pray for Thomas and Jennifer as they work hard at evangelism and growing the church as well as preparing local and foreign coworkers to be better equipped to handle the ministry while they are away for six months home assignment. The Gospel Center has moved to a new location; pray God will provide the finances needed for this new Gospel Center. They are grateful to have a new missionary couple join their team.
Pray for Tezar and Tatiana as they learn to parent Elena while building the vision of a core church planting team. Pray for the 2-4 week process for approval of their new church plant as a religious organization. Pray that everything will come together for a church launch date of July 3.
George and Anne Harper are hoping to see the graduates they have advised and directed when they graduate on June 5 from Asia Graduate School of Theology. They will be able to provided that Anne’s condition has stabilized, she has regained her strength, and they have a care taker for their San Antonio home. Pray these all happen so they can return to the Philippines to witness the completion of their students’ hard work.
Bill and Bobbie Boggess ask prayer for France to open up to God as terrorist activity continues with attacks nearby. Pray for growth in the Guyancourt Church as the attendance has been disappointingly low. Bill will be turning over the leadership role for TEAM France to a younger missionary this summer so he can better concentrate on the Church and on finishing up their ministry there in the next couple of years. Pray for their health, strength, and perseverance to work for the King, and for a suitable meeting place for the Church.
Heath and Angela pray that U.S doctors, residents, or med students will come serve with them at Tenwek. Two national doctors graduated from general surgery training and another group of residents was welcomed into the five-year program. Pray for the medical trainees to sense God’s presence through their experience at Tenwek and to gain a greater sense of how to use their lives for God’s kingdom. Pray for Spirit-filled wisdom for the Manys in many decisions in planning their time in the US.
