John

John is the director of a mariculture business designed to employ workers in a Muslim majority country. The supervisors are followers of Jesus who train the workers and care for them spiritually. Pray for the Lord to ease restrictions as John and teammate Sean are stuck in the US until they are lifted, and transportation of needed supplies has been disrupted. Praise God that their fellowship group continues to meet on the island, the government has granted long-term permissions, and the price for their product remains strong. Pray the team will stand firm, and that the Lord will use these challenges to advance His Kingdom.

Pray that the Lord would draw people to Jesus through these ads. Jeff also asks prayer for God to raise up disciple makers for every potential person of peace. Pray for God’s protection over them as every ad draws a certain amount of opposition and accusations; even threats that they will be reported to the government. Give Jeff and his team courage to keep proclaiming the gospel despite the threats.

Steve & Marion

Starting a Christian University from scratch is a challenge in the U.S., and even more so in a foreign country. Steve and Marion Spencer ask prayer as they seek to establish Genesis University South Africa. The school needs an official site before they will be given approval and accreditation. A pre-existing school campus is available, pray for the Lord’s provision. This would be South Africa’s first Christian liberal arts university. Pray that the Lord will open the borders of South Africa so that Steve and Marion can return.
