Praise for the healthy birth of Joseph and Mandi’s second son, Ezra. Pray for their time in the U.S. with family and friends. They ask prayer for the believers in Bihar facing persecution that their faith will group deeper enabling them to stand firm. Pray Joseph and Mandi will have fruitful Hindi study to keep their language skills sharp while in the US.
Daryl and Marlene Bussert ask prayer for the staff at JAARS as they process the various items brought out in the aviation safety audit report. Pray for all the planning and preparation for Glenn and Sharlene Grubb to make the Papua New Guinea aviation audit in August.
Pray for the summer semester at WCCTS seminary to go smoothly with no unexpected circumstances to interfere with the training of pastors and leaders. Tim and Huilan ask prayer for the local churches they partner with as they face the challenges of pastoring, discipling, and counseling. Pray for the family as they travel to visit Huilan’s family in Taiwan then on to Malaysia for Area Retreat.
As construction on the headquarters building for Pioneers continues, pray for wisdom and grace for Norm in his role as point person for the building project. He and Ruth Ann serve on one of the candidate committees and are grateful the Lord continues to send workers to serve among the unreached around the world. Pray for the 29 new candidates who have come to join Pioneers.
Joe and Austia have found that being involved with some of the local people, like spending the night in the hospital with a pregnant mother, or the team planting a tree or making trash pickup a fun event is giving the locals cause to ask why. Pray these opportunities open doors for sharing their faith.
Brian and Cary have returned to E. Asia after a month in the States traveling and celebrating 25 years being on the Cru staff. Cary asks prayer for the Orphan camp with Bring Me Hope, July 26-August 1; for her heart to be prepared to love and care for the orphans who are severely handicapped. Pray for the translator with her to sense the sweet aroma of Christ as they work together.
Paul and Violette Bridgman are happy to be in the US for the arrival of their first grandchild and the marriage of Jeffrey and Hannah in September. They ask prayer for God’s leading concerning the timing and location for retirement, for dealing with health issues in time to return to Japan next summer, and for the ongoing ministry at Sakuragaoka Church under the leadership of Pastor Katayama.
With a helper at home, Angela has time to coordinate the short-term medical missionaries serving at Tenwek while Heath leads the surgical residency program. Continue to pray for a teacher for the missionary kids, and for Heath’s upcoming trip to South Sudan to provide much needed patient care and expose the surgical residents to cross-cultural missions. Pray for all logistics of the trip; travel, team, equipment, and medical supplies.
Pray for Guille MacKenzie as he considers transitioning to a new role in training church planters in Buenos Aires. Pray that God would guide him in his next steps and use him to equip others to start new churches.
