Davy & Pey

Davy and Pey ask prayer for their children: Cooper in Intl. school, Sophia in home-schooled in kindergarten, and Eva a toddler. Praise for what God is doing at one university in their city. Pray for the team to have wisdom to know how to help draw students and professors into a saving relationship. Pray the pastors and church leaders who attended the conference in Hong Kong will use what was learned to expand God’s Kingdom in E Asia.

Rotterdam Church

Pray for Theo Visser and his inter-cultural church plant in Rotterdam called Leef! (Live! In Dutch). The church plant is two months old and already has sixty plus people from five nationalities worshiping together on Sundays. Praise God for what he is doing through Theo, and pray for growth and maturity of this new church.

Stephen K.

Stephen K asks prayer that their students can obtain visas. The political upheaval is affecting this process. Many Muslim background believers now live in Europe and have the freedom to pursue their new life in Christ, but changing one’s worldview takes longer to change than one’s residence. Pray their faith will grow deeper and wider so they may truly experience the freedom they have in Christ.

Jake

Pray for Jake as he continues language study, teaches English, and visits the art university across town to talk with students. Pray he will be faithful, following the Lord’s lead. His energy is low but opportunity is high. Pray for a brother in Christ to share the work he is doing, and for students, Chad and Joe, to desire to know the true creator.

Rob & Tunde

Praise for 100 first year students at the Budapest Bible School. Pray for Rob Futo who finds such joy in teaching lay people a Christ centered approach to Scripture; for the students to continue to hunger and be dedicated to learn about and serve the Lord, and for Rob, Tunde and their girls as they minister the gospel in word and music.

Joke Van Opstal

Pray for Joke Van Opstal as her pacemaker has not corrected the issues with her heart. Her cardiologist is not sure how to fix her heart so he is sending her to Brussels. Pray for wisdom for her doctors. Continue to pray for daughter Anna who, with professional help has started school. Joke is grateful she can continue some of her work in Cambodia via Skype.

Marcelo

Praise for what God is doing in Buenos Aires as Marcelo and his team have started the fourth church plant in three years. They rejoice that 30+ gathered, in spite of the heavy rain, for the first service in the downtown church; then the next night their church on the west side began with 40 members. Pray for these church leaders: Marco, Porfirio, Marcelo, Marcos, Alejandro and Fernando.

David & Lisa

Praise for the child-birth training David and Lisa conducted for 30 Tibetan nomadic women. The infant mortality rate at birth is 30%. Pray these women will be able to utilize this training with their own people in many isolated areas and lower that statistic. Pray they will come to understand the One who created each of them and become faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

Brian & Joanne

Brian P. asks prayer for the Cross Conference, Dec. 27-30. The focus will be on calling students to consider their part in taking the gospel to the nations. He and Joanne will be teaching a seminar titled “Raising a Family Overseas”. Many well known speakers will be there. Already 3,000 students have registered. Pray that a new wave of young missionaries responds with a “yes” to God’s call to take the gospel to the nations.
