Annoor Sanatorium is the only certified center for treatment of Multiple Drug Resistant TB in the country. Regular TB treatment is 6-9 months, whereas the multiple drug resistant type may take two years. They have patients from all over the Middle East giving the staff many opportunities to share the Good News of the Gospel. Pray for the staff and those preparing for the Christmas celebration for the patients and nearby Bedouins and children.
Steffen Weil in Pottsdam is encouraged at the growth of their church plant. Four people were recently baptized, and new people are regularly visiting worship. Pray for strength to continue working with new people and life/ministry balance.
Thomas and Jennifer are grateful for seminary intern A-yao who is offering a Baptism class and for their friends from the Baptist church teaching a Taiwanese class to foreign brides, both at the center. Pray for Judy who wants to be baptized but family members are against it. Pray for Thomas’ talk at Taipei Seminary to lead future seminary interns to work with them.
Brian and Cary F. are grateful for open doors to share Christ in their apartment complex of 500,000 people, and for the recent Family Life Conference where many non-Christians attended and were hungry for healing in marriages. Pray for all the outreaches happening this season, that God will bring many to Himself, and for reconnection and great family time as their two college kids come home for Christmas.
Pray for Marcelo Robles as he balances responsibility for developing the City to City Church in downtown Buenos Aires with ongoing responsibilities for his family. Pray for strength, encouragement and peace as he cares for his mother Azucena who was the victim of thieves recently and daughter Vicki who fell and broke her vertebrae.
Pray Daryl Bussert gets his certified flight instructor rating by year-end. Pray their recent vacation rejuvenated Daryl and Marlene and they were able to get some home projects done. Pray for a turnaround in JAARS’ budget shortfall so they will not have to restrict some training courses the staff needs.
Pray for Rob and Tunde Futo during this busy time in their lives. Pray for daughter Csenge’s torn ligament to heal quickly so she can resume sports. Rob teaches 30 people on Monday nights, spoke at the Hungarian Campus Crusade conference, and held a weekend retreat for the Saturdays-Film club leadership. Tunde leads a Bible study for children who used to sing in the choir and are not attending church, and hosts an evangelistic meeting for women.
Six missional communities are growing at Leef! in Rotterdam. Pray for Theo Visser as he pastors this church and coaches 30 church planters in the International Church Planters Network in the Netherlands.
Leslie Kuhn is grateful for answered prayers for the immediate needs of the new GEM missionaries in Germany. Pray for them as they develop friendships, continue language learning and deal with homesickness during the holidays. Leslie reaches out to asylum seekers in Germany by volunteering at a local school. Also pray for her husband to find the right permanent job.
Pray for Jake as he leads a small team of teachers at the university and continues to work with Andy his former team leader. Pray Jake and the team will live in the light, love each other, and let that overflow into their neighborhood, classrooms, and campus. Pray for his long distance relationship with Shanelle, a teacher from the same agency serving in another location, as they want to move their relationship forward.
