Recently Heath Many took a surgical resident and anesthetist to a very remote hospital in South Sudan as part of their training to go to remote areas in great need of doctors with surgical skills and to take the message of Christ. Pray more Kenyan physicians will join the medical staff and assume responsibility at Tenwek hospital for training up the next generation of national doctors to show Christ’s love through providing quality care to the poor and needy.

Pray for Daryl Bussert as the department teaches three days of Aviation Pre-Field Orientation classes, the final training requirement for new aviators. They have almost completed updating the training curriculum, pray it is well received and that the emphasis of “Long and Effective Ministry” will be a reality for all participants. There was a minor accident in landing one of the Kodiak aircraft; pray for Daryl as he analyzes this event in relation to other occurrences with the Kodiaks.

There are some perks to serving on the mission field as Bill and Lauren’s children will experience tomorrow with the Spanish tradition of El Dia de Los Reyes, a day when the Wise Men bring gifts to Spanish children. The whole family knows more Spanish than when they arrived nine months ago, both parents have a drivers license and residency cards, and are beginning to be able to find the items they took for granted in the U.S.  Pray as they continue to adjust and become more comfortable in their new environment.

Bill and Lauren Finnell applied for visas to begin their ministry in Spain. Pray for quick approval of the visas and that more churches and individuals will become partners with them in their work there. They look forward to a spring departure, but visas and more supporters will determine the actual date.

Guille & Debbie Mackenzie along with their children are in the states visiting friends, family, and churches this month. Pray for the launching of Mision BETA, Church Planting, and City Transformation in Buenos Aires. Pray that God will confirm the vision for their future ministry and direct their next steps.

Pray for encouragement for Jake and his team in E. Asia. Recurring electrical fires in the stairwell of their apartment building takes its toll on sleep and safety. Jake’s bike was stolen and another teammate’s electric bike was stolen four days after she got it. The team has seen some momentum in their evangelistic outreach, but need prayer to overcome obstacles.

Ronnie asks prayer for The Danube International Church Search Committee to find the right successor. He loves pastoring the church and will remain until they do, but believes the church needs a younger pastor. He and Jane have been in the states for Christmas and to see their newest grandchild. Pray for relaxation, a special time with family, and Ronnie’s teaching schedule upon his return to Budapest.

Praise that Servant Group Intl. has been given permission to start a medical clinic and school in the refugee camp outside of Dohuk, home of 90,000 Yazadi refugees. Pray for someone with strong organizational or project management skills, and third world experience, to manage the start up phase of the projects. Pray for wisdom and discernment for Dave as he oversees these, as well as the three Classical Schools in N Iraq.
