For Thomas and Jennifer the Christmas season was the most evangelistic time they have ever had. They and their team were able to tell stories in the street, at the nursing home, perform plays in the schools, cookie making, and extend their ongoing ministry. Pray for follow-up with the participants of these events and for Thomas and Jennifer as they participate later this month in leadership training meetings in Zhongpu and Bangkok.
Bob and Janie Till are grateful for the GEM couple who have moved to Lesvos, Greece for several months to lead teams there who are helping refugees on the island. Pray for the refugee centers in Athens with more and more people stuck there, unable to proceed to other countries in Europe. Pray for Bob and Janie as they give oversight and assistance to these teams.
Dan and Stefanie are excited that their new apartment not only provides an improved living situation with space for the girls to play but also has opened the door of opportunity for a new ministry among their Muslim neighbors through their language helper, Gazala. Pray the small cooperative developing in handmade jewelry will grow and enable them to know the mothers and their children and share Christ’s love with them. Pray for Soni, a mother of two small children abandoned by her husband, that the Lord will draw her to Himself and provide for her every need.
The Prices share that he is greatly enjoying his new job as an English teacher and ask prayer that the practice of English enables him to build relationships with many of the students. Pray as they both continue language study that they will be able to fluently interact with the people and culture. Praise for the permanent apartment they moved into in January! Lastly, pray for future children, as they are adopting from Hungary.
Pray for Ruslan and Zhanna, on a two month sabbatical in the US; that God would renew their strength, refresh their vision for ministry, and empower them to serve their Young Life and Special Needs ministries in Central Asia. Also pray for their time with us during our conference later this month – that they will feel loved and cared for.
Nick and Amanda continue in language study, pray they will be able to utilize what they have learned as they relate to local people. Pray for opportunities for Nick to share with the cyclists he meets with weekly and for Amanda as she is building relationships with women in the neighborhood, specifically her friendship with “H”. Pray her pregnancy goes well as they look forward to delivery of their baby boy in May in their Middle Eastern country.
Pray there will be more Bedouin patients both in the clinic and long term at Annoor, among the 9 different nationalities that are being treated there, and for Aileen as she prepares to be with us at the Conference later this month. Pray for a new x-ray machine to be obtained and a resolution to the delays in registering their vehicles.
Brian P asks prayer for his team as they try to increase their presence on multiple campuses, and for Darshan, a new believer from Hinduism whose parents will not let him return to the university or have any contact with Christians. Pray for a softening of the hearts of his parents toward him and Christ, and that he will be able to return to the fellowship he has on the Arabian Peninsula. Pray for encouragement while he is being persecuted by his family.
Pray for George and Anne Harper to complete the medical procedures they need to have while on home assignment. Anne is recuperating from a second hand surgery and George is facing eye surgery. Pray for quick, complete healing and rehabilitation. As they recuperate they continue to oversee the graduate students hoping to complete their requirements for graduation in June. Additionally they ask prayer for daughter Ruth as she takes the Bar exam later this month and for Meg’s preparations to be married just prior to the Harpers return to the Philippines.
