Beirut ST team

Jason Rauls and his team leave today for Lebanon to work with Robby Hamd and the staff of the Philemon Preschool to put on VBS for the children of migrant workers and refugees. Pray for all the logistics and that the love of the team will not only affect the kids but their parents as well. The team returns June 19.

Cambodia ST team

Barton Kimbro leads a men’s team to Cambodia to work with the World Relief staff and teach them English as a Second Language. Pray for good rapport with the staff who are dealing with the ongoing needs in that country with little encouragement. Pray for our team to demonstrate Christ’s love in many ways before returning on June 19.

Thomas & Jennifer

Thomas and Jennifer ask prayer for their first team retreat the next three days and for wisdom and unity as they plan and discuss vision and strategy for the coming years. They give thanks for the response of members who helped move the Gospel Center to its new location. They welcome new co-workers from Finland and ask for wisdom in incorporating them into the team and using their giftedness to help serve the church and community.

Thomas & Jennifer 12-2015

David & Aliece

David and Aliece rejoice that she passed her exam and is now a fully licensed psychologist, and for the unplanned but greatly welcomed news of a third child. Pray for her and the baby’s health. David has learned of a new wave of church persecution in various degrees from rental closures to crosses being destroyed or torn down. Pray for these brothers and sisters facing this new persecution.

Roger & Abi

Once again Roger and Abi Lowther find themselves responding to an area devastated by an earthquake. Pray as their family balances current obligations with responding as a family, church, and mission organization. Pray for comfort and rest for people staying in shelters and trying to put their lives back together, and for unity among Christian workers as they reach out in many ways to share the Gospel with the people of Kumamoto.

Robby

The Philemon Project which Robby Hamd heads has appointed a director for the Early Learning Center that focuses on cognitive, social and spiritual training in the lives of the at-risk children of refugees and migrants. Additionally they mentor parents helping them to develop skills they need to create a lasting, healthy, and productive relationship with their children. Pray for the ministry as it communicates the gospel by meeting the needs of the neediest in the name of Jesus.

Brian & Terri

Brian & Terri report that 55 students in Khon Kaen begin summer camp today. Praise for the five Thai CO team members who went to the Philippines and had an awesome time connecting with CO teams there. Pray for these students as some come to Christ and others grow in their walk. Terri had a good visit with son Will before he began his yearlong program in Minnesota. Pray this will be a life changing experience for Will.

Dan & Stefanie

Dan and Stefanie are preparing for several months of home leave. They will bring jewelry and artwork from the new Kahani Design cooperative they are establishing in India. Pray the Lord will begin to empower these women to support their families and to open doors for the gospel. Pray Dan and Stefanie and the girls will be refreshed during their home leave. Pray for health and encouragement as they visit supporters and friends and introduce their ministry to us.

Nick & Amanda

Though Gus Thomas arrived four weeks early, he is doing well and parents Nick and Amanda are looking forward to introducing him to family when they come for home leave. Big sisters Ellie and Hazel are completely obsessed with this new addition to their family. Pray for family adjustments and preparation for the brief home leave and for their change of location when they return later this summer.

Argentina Choir ST Team

Gabe and Ginger and members of our choir are in Argentina doing five performances of Bach’s “The Life of Christ” in three different Presbyterian Churches in and around Buenos Aires. Pray the glory of the risen Christ will not only be heard through their music but seen in their lives as they interact with people of the area before returning June 7.
