Paul & Violette

Paul and Violette Bridgman met with their pastor who agreed they should continue their work with English evangelism, helping out at their church and others in the area as needed, and doing personal discipleship and evangelism. They ask prayer for God’s will and timing for the development of a new outreach and to resume the good things they were doing last term. Pray for continued healing and that Paul can get off the pain medication he has needed after his surgery.

Herb & Heather

Herb reports that caring for Miss A, a young woman with TB of the spine, has been emotional and taxing on the nurses and Heather. With slim chances for survival, Aileen challenged her regarding her destiny and a staff member walked her through the steps of assurance. Against the odds, Miss A. survived her surgery, but has a long road to recovery.  Pray for the enlightenment of her and her family.

Kyle & Claudia

Kyle and Claudia Zimmerman praise God for a successful children’s outreach in Merlo that reached 100 children and families. Pray for these children and families and the growing ministry of La Mision Merlo. Pray that Kyle will recover quickly from the pain in his arms so carpentry classes can resume. Spending time with the kids at the community center is important as two little girls told him they had adopted him as their dad since their dad is in prison. Pray for the students and their deep need for the love of Christ.

John & Dawn

Pray the infection John F. got from minor foot surgery while on home leave will be completely healed and cause no hindrance as he and Dawn travel to the mountains of India to visit teams. Pray they will be a blessing and encouragement to those they meet. They are rejoicing in God preparing their children for future ministry as son David and wife Courtney embark on a journey of faith toward ministry in Thailand next year.

Dave & Robin

Dave & Robin report that enrollment at the CSM Schools is down slightly but they still have 3,000 students. The Shepherd refugee school has about 1,000 students in two shifts and Servant Group has begun renovation on a second school for them, as one was wrecked by civil war. Pray that many families will be encouraged to move back from the camps to their original homes. Pray for wisdom to know where and how to best respond to the needs.

Nick & Amanda

Nick and Amanda have arrived in their new Middle Eastern country of service. Pray for transitions; their new apartment, new neighbors, and for the girls starting a new school. Pray for progress in language learning and culture, language tutors, and new friends. Pray for their relationship with team leaders, Nour and Rebecca, as doing ministry as a team is a new experience. Pray for the emotional, physical, and spiritual health of the family and for open doors and fruitful relationships with refugees and locals.

Ukraine ST Trip

Pray for John Whittemore who leaves tomorrow for Ukraine to catch up with the new students in the trade school program and connect with summer camp participants. As he visits orphanages and shares Christ’s love with the children, pray the Lord will give him guidance and a heart reflective of the gospel before he returns on Nov. 7.

Tim & Huilan

Pray for Tim and Huilan’s family as they settle into another year of ministry and for the children to do well with friends and school. Pray for ongoing protection for the CARTS group and for renewal of the women’s ministries as a result of the Asia Pacific women’s retreat. Pray for the MTW retreat being held this week for vision and mission to become clearer for all the missionaries in the region.

Jordan ST Trip

Haley Stewart, a member of Second, will spend the next two months working as a nurse at Annoor and ascertaining if this is the call of the Lord on her life and the place He is calling her to serve. Annoor greatly needs her abilities, pray for clear direction in this two month time of service that she will be blessed and be a blessing to those needing healing of body and soul.

The Prices

Visa requirements for their turbulent country of ministry necessitate that the Price’s leave for one month. We are grateful to have them with us today and pray that their short stay in the US will bring calmness to their lives and spirits and prepare them to return to their work in an unsteady environment. Pray they will be an encouragement and support to those living in darkness and to their brothers and sisters in the Lord with whom they work.
