John and Marilyn Whittemore are in Ukraine preparing for the winter camp that runs 9 days beginning Jan. 8. The camp is primarily for kids 15-21 years of age from the orphanages and the dormitory for trade school students. This year they will include young people from Eastern Ukraine where war has caused so much death, destruction, and psychological damage. Pray the effects of the war will not distract the young people from listening, understanding, and accepting the Gospel. The Whittemores return Jan. 30.

Pray for Joseph to be healed form the mosquito borne virus he contracted which is causing him significant joint pain. They ask prayer to act wisely in the financial matters of Mukesh’s family tragedy and for stability of the local currency. Pray for protection for little Ezra during the horrendous air pollution, for teammates’ family struggling with illnesses, and for wisdom for the future of MEDIC.

Pray for wise use of the short time Ronnie and Jane have in Memphis before moving to Azerbaijan for two months. Not having been there before, Azerbaijan is a new adventure for them so pray that God will prepare the hearts of those with whom they are to minister. Pray also for refreshment and renewal of body, mind, and spirit as they spend time here with family and friends.

Rejoice with the Price’s over their recent adoption of son Jude and daughter Gloria and pray for the process of getting the children US passports, and for them to get new work visas. They are distressed to learn that a 21 year old medical student from the school where they taught last year was killed in a recent bombing attack. Pray for their coworkers as they grieve and for the Spirit to lead in conversations with nationals who feel trapped by all that is going on around them.
