Pray for Bill and Lauren Finnell as they and their children spend the summer in Memphis transitioning to their new support agency and ministry location. They will be joining Church Resource Ministries (CRM) doing member care and will be moving to Alhaurin de la Torre, Spain in early fall. In the meantime, Bill will be getting to know his role on the Staff Care and Development team.

Pray the weekend investigative retreat attended by over a hundred students opened doors and hearts to the gospel. Pray for Austin Smith as he follows up on the event and particularly for Fabricio, Henrique, Vitor, Joao Victor, Bernardo, and Vitor Henrique, and for the Brazilian students learning about Jesus for the first time.

Pray for Dave and Robin as they are busy with refugee work. They lead a group to Athens July 14-28 to help churches with refugee relief work. Then they head to Rome to meet leaders of a ministry they have been supporting doing relief work to see if it would be beneficial to send teams in the future. Finally, in Iraq, relief work is in full force as they help with a food factory start up for Christian women moving back to their war torn city, check on clinics in another city and the training classes in electronics and sewing established by a national partner.

Daryl and Marlene Bussert recently completed lengthy aviation audits. Pray as the team recuperates from these demanding audits in remote locations in Peru, Kenya, and Uganda, and compile and present debriefs from each. Daryl is anxious to get a prospective candidate, to help long-term in the department, to visit JAARS this month. Pray this will work out and they can secure additional staff for the future.

Norm and Ruth Ann are grateful for the safety, health, stamina, and countless connections made during the Euro-Connect conference, for visits in Serbia, and 33 new laborers appointed for missionary service. Pray for the 69 serving on Pioneers Summer Teams heading to 19 countries to serve alongside long term workers. Pray for construction progress on the Holiday Inn Express at Pioneer’s headquarters, and for wisdom in establishing priorities and drawing strength from the Lord.

Our senior high team heads to Mexico tomorrow to work with longtime partner, Shalom Presbyterian Church and Blas Pascal School in Merida. Led by Kit Stallings, Bill Jorgensen, and Becca Kennedy, the group of 22 will do construction work at the school and a new church building, as well as form relationships with high school students who attend the church’s youth group. They will join in their weekly activities and minister to the students there before returning July 16.
Pray for Joseph and Mandi as they wind up their work in South Central Asia and return to the States. Pray for them to finish well and make lasting memories with friends they have made there. Pray as they take the next long term step for the family, for wisdom in finding a good fit work-wise and for grace for their children who will be learning a new way of life having spent their entire lives in another country.

Praise for Aileen’s successful back surgery and her return to work with her beloved Bedouins. Pray for more inpatients at Annoor that they may love and serve, and for yearly residence permits for foreign volunteers to be renewed promptly. Pray for resolution to the ongoing problem with regulations that doctor’s face when renewing their visa to work in the country.

Adrianne Cranford and Kevin McQuillen lead a team of 13 senior high students to Budapest tomorrow to partner with the Paulus Movement youth group where they will run an English conversation camp for junior and senior high school students. The team will be teaching conversational English, playing sports and games, all to build relationships with Hungarian students. Pray for their witness, growth, health, and safe return July 16.
Not only is Covenant Hope Church a reality, but it has celebrated its first baptisms and wedding. Brian P. reports that fellowship has been sweet and asks prayer for the non-Christians attending to give their lives to Christ. Pray for him to faithfully preach through Philippians this summer and for the evening services begun in June to build community in the congregation.
