Thomas reports that they have transitioned into a Sunday service once a month. Pray for strong attendance, open hearts, and good communications as they follow the service with a meal and fellowship. Jennifer’s evangelistic dance aerobics class at the Gospel Center proved to be a shocking success with husbands encouraging their wives to go to church. Pray for Jennifer as she shares stories about God and Jesus with them.

Daryl Bussert expresses gratitude for the successful Aviation Technical Conference with delegates from many locations discussing resolutions to issues in a changing aviation climate. His coworkers are in Australia and Indonesia conducting Aviation Safety Audits. Pray for this and all the administrative, operational responses, recruitment, and other responsibilities necessary to keep this aspect of Wycliff Bible Translators safe and operational.

In their work with YL Central Asia, Ruslan and Zhanna are so grateful for the camp in Tajikistan, where 70 campers attended in midst of strong govt. persecution and the Capernaum Wyld Life Camp in Almaty which had 65 special needs campers. Pray for God’s work in each camper’s life and for Ruslan and Zhanna as they reach out to young people in building a better future.

The youth camp in Austria was beyond the expectations of Rob and Tunde Futo as great friendships were made, the group continued meeting, and many of them attended church services. They have begun their first youth small groups to study the Bible together using the same standardized material as the adults. Pray for Rob as he chooses mentors for these groups and the material to be studied. Tunde is excited to begin her studies toward a master’s degree in counseling.

Pray for Norm and Ruth Ann as they and the Pioneers community join many Floridians in recovering from hurricane Irma. Pray the Security Training and Pre-Field training scheduled during that time can be rescheduled and construction of the Holiday Inn Express can get underway again. Pray for Norm and the leadership team as they make decisions and remain strong in Christ so that doing ministry flows out of that identity.

Praise that Bill Finnell was able to get into one of his final classes needed for his doctorate degree in Member Care just prior to his family’s departure for Malaga, Spain. He and Lauren are thankful for the provision of an apartment in their new town of Alhaurin de la Torre. Pray for settling in, new friends, and new team. Pray for Will and Abby who will be attending a new Spanish school and for all aspects of the transition to go well.

Fires in Greece have been a concern for Bob and Janie recently. They are grateful for the response in rebuilding the facility at the Moria refugee camp on Lesvos, but more recently young campers had to be evacuated from a children’s camp of the Greek Evangelical Churches of southern Greece. This camp held many memories for the Tills and their family and in recent years had been used for refugee children. Pray for a new camp to rise from the ashes to God’s glory.

Now that Lizzie has joined Steve on a vision trip meeting workers with Josiah Ventures ministries and the work they do, pray she and Steve are better equipped to plan for their future mission and upcoming marriage in November. Chris and Debbie Gibson are moving back to Budapest to be more accessible to mission workers overseas and able to respond faster when needs arise. They have rented an apartment near their former ministry center where they can refuel and care for missionaries. They will be providing counseling at a family conference in Greece this month. Pray for health, strength, and wisdom as they interact with missionaries in need.

There has been much activity in Steffen Weil’s Potsdam ministry. They celebrated Mittendrin Church’s fifth birthday, conducted a state of the Church meeting to encourage believers, welcomed new members and discussed stewardship, reconnected with university students, and held a youth retreat, all in the month of September. Additionally, Steffen began a Discovery Class to share the gospel and answer people’s questions about God. Pray for his health, energy, and joy, and for God to work through all these ministry efforts.
