Leslie

Leslie is excited about the new GEM interim field leader and prospects for moving forward to reach more people for the Gospel. Pray for more language and culture coaches like her in GEM, for the German government as it seeks a coalition solution for a new German administration following the elections, and for Leslie as she assists new missionaries in becoming established in their work.

For more info on Leslie, see page 43 of the prayer guide.

Thomas & Jennifer

Thomas and Jennifer are constantly aware of the intense spiritual battle they face even when volunteering at school they find they are surrounded by idol worshiping volunteers. Pray for Claire and Jin who have great interest in knowing Christ yet are shackled to their old ways of worshiping idols. Thomas and Jennifer were grateful for the short-term team from Singapore and pray the evangelistic outreaches have long term fruitfulness.

For more info on Thomas & Jennifer, see page 55 of the prayer guide.

Brian & Joanne

Pray for Covenant Hope Church as they seek a new meeting place due to government regulations that require them to vacate their current venue in a school. Brian P. requests prayer for Sneyha, an Indian woman who recently gave her live to Christ, as she shares her new faith with her relatives who are hostile to the gospel, and for “Sam”, a Pakistani man, also a new believer, facing significant hostility from his family.

For more info on Brian & Joanne, see page 13 of the prayer guide.

Ukraine Winter Camp

The Ukraine winter camp, organized by Hope to People’s Dept. of Christian Ethics, will include upper grade students and graduates of orphanages from the Rivne region. Students will enjoy worship, Bible study, small group discussion, and winter sports in the Carpathian Mountains from today through Jan. 15. Pray for safety, for the speakers to clearly convey the gospel, and that students will actively seek to know Jesus.

Ruslan & Zhanna

Please pray for Ruslan and Zhanna as they launch a new year of outreach for kids. This school year they have started a second special needs ministry for junior high kids as well as English lessons for kids and their families. They have renovated a new space for their various club meetings, which is well designed and inviting for youth, but slightly smaller than their previous space. Pray that God would strengthen their volunteers and bless their outreach to the youth of Almaty.

For more info on Ruslan & Zhanna, see page 22 of the prayer guide.

Joseph & Mandi

As Joseph and Mandi have completed their mission term, pray they will trust God during the transition and be led to the employment opportunity and location of His choosing. Pray for the children to easily adapt during this period and for JP to get settled into school. Pray that as they reflect back on their time on the field, that they would remember accomplishments and people they have left behind and realize it is all in God’s hands.

For more info on Joseph & Mandi, see page 20 of the prayer guide.

Heath & Angela

Heath and Angela give praise for peace in Kenya so far, following a tense and uncertain presidential election, and for the end to a lengthy nurses’ strike. Pray for complete healing of Rees’s broken foot and Angela’s hip. Pray for the PAACS’ alumni as they seek to honor Christ as surgeons in Africa. Give them wisdom and courage as they seek to be missional with their lives.

For more info on Heath & Angela, see page 69 of the prayer guide.

Dave & Robin

Dave reports that a team from Servant Group Int. went back to Greece last month to help with a refugee preschool program, adult English classes, and a science & engineering workshop for refugee teenagers. They are building gospel bridges in Greece and they hope to organize and run a variety of science, art, music, and sports workshops. Pray for team members to join their work in Greece.

For more info on Dave & Robin, see page 6 of the prayer guide.

Roger & Abi

Roger and Abi and their boys have begun a six-month home leave in the U.S. They rejoice over The Hidden Beauty arts conference that was a great opportunity to meditate on Japanese art and culture and share the gospel in distinctly non-Western ways. The ninety-two page worship songbook of newly composed or translated Japanese songs has been printed and some of the music is downloadable on their website. Pray for lasting fruit from these two ventures and for their time in the U.S.

For more info on Roger & Abi, see page 53 of the prayer guide.

Herb / Annoor

Herb asks prayer for Annoor to be granted favor by the government regarding new labor laws which make it difficult for volunteers to obtain the necessary residency permits needed to work there. Pray for Miss W’s family, a refugee family they came to love during the several months she was with them and when she returned to the hospital to be able to die with dignity and surrounded by love. Pray these and many other refugees and locals will find true healing during their stay.

For more info on Herb & Heather, see page 9 of the prayer guide.
