Thomas and Jennifer give thanks for steady and slightly growing attendance at their Sunday service. Jennifer is busy leading Bible studies, music on Sunday, sharing stories in the park, evangelism, and managing details for the team. Thomas is doing pastoral care through home visits. Pray more men will come to the Friday tea night and for Thomas to be able to maintain his health day by day.

Jonathan and Amy were grateful for how the Lord worked at the Exchange camp and allowed them to see some fruit. Pray for continued unity as a team and church. They are constantly learning from the culture and seeing the need for flexibility and grace as they carry on with their lives. Pray they will continue to be learners of the culture and grow in the Lord’s character as they adjust to being a family with a new baby.

Paul and Violette Bridgman are giving thanks that the heavy rains, flooding and landslides in western Japan near where they live spared the churches and none of the believers were hurt. Pray for their new pastor to have wisdom in reaching out to needy people who come to the church at odd times, and to draw those who have been absent for a while back into fellowship. A few people are preparing for baptism. Pray they will be baptized this year.

Pray that Michael and Caroline’s friend Love and her husband would be receptive to the truth shared with them and open to hearing more. Pray for decisions regarding Jude and Gloria’s schooling and for English speaking friends. Pray for their host country and its leaders in the aftermath of recent elections. Pray for Michael’s mom’s recovery from a knee infection following her knee surgery.

Campus Outreach staff along with 35 U.S. based students are in Brazil spending two months at two colleges as they look to expand CO ministry there. Pray for the Brazil team as they try to connect with new students and follow up on contacts made by the visiting group. Pray Austin Smith has been able to get his missionary visa renewed enabling him to begin the next semester.

Pray for Giotis Kantartzis, our strategic partner in Athens, as he takes leave this month to write publications for evangelical churches serving in majority Eastern Orthodox settings, and for his son George beginning his Master’s at RTS Orlando. Pray for Giotis’ church, First Evangelical, as they seek to launch a Parish church for the homeless in their part of urban Athens.

Steve and Lizzie Donley spent the month of July in Romania getting to know their future teammates and teaching English at one of the eight summer camps for both churched and unchurched youth. Pray this time has provided team building, basic information in preparation for living there, and unity for the Donleys in their marriage.

As Daryl and Marlene Bussert are in midst of the triennial aviation audit of Papua, New Guinea aviation operations, pray for the team, including the PNG aviation manager recuperating from a serious motorcycle accident. Pray the new couple on the team involved in the audit will join JAARS after completing military obligations. Pray for Daryl and Marlene as they give leadership to this team.

Pray that Nick and Amanda’s visa issues would be resolved, that Nick’s parents would have a good visit this month, for renewed zeal to continue progressing in Arabic, and that the relationships through the soccer league and community Bible studies would lead people into deeper and more meaningful relationships with God.

Pray for Ruslan as he presents the Gospel to kids at Young Life Central Asia camp tomorrow, concluding with an explanation of faith in Christ. Pray for the 2pc team that is there assisting him. Pray for the leaders and volunteers of Young Life in Almaty to develop meaningful relationships with the kids introducing them to Jesus. Pray for Ruslan and Zhanna’s visit to the US at the end of this month, and a stop in Memphis for a visit.
