David is kept busy teaching in seminary, mentoring/walking with a few promising local church leaders, preaching 2-3 times a month, and offering 2 intensive theology courses. Pray for his health as he has been experiencing insomnia and dental issues. Aliece reports the Counseling Center is seeing much activity and has been accepted by the Ministry Alliance making gifts to it tax deductible. Pray for health, safety, wisdom, and balancing family and ministry needs.

Brian P asks prayer for Sharon, from a neighboring Gulf country who is very close to committing her life to Jesus but is being pressured by her family to marry a Muslim relative. Pray also for Muhammed who appears to have come to faith but is afraid to meet with others in corporate worship. Pray that as the word is preached believers will extend encouragement to these and others facing hostile family or cultural pressures.

Pray for Daryl Bussert as he and co-worker Glenn attend the Mission Aviation Fellowship Safety and Quality Training course this month to see how JAARS can work with other organizations to better equip field aviation safety officers. There is still a need to complete documenting the processes and procedures of the department for the eventual turnover to a new director. Pray for God’s timing and His choice of the right people for the future opportunities and challenges.

David and Lisa ask prayer for the situation in their host country. They do not know how much longer they will be permitted to stay, as many foreigners have recently been asked to leave. They have begun the adoption process with Bella and are looking into a trust account to be managed by a local friend in case they are forced to leave. Give praise, Bella has responded to the growth hormone injections she has been receiving and has grown 1 ½ inches since starting them.

Pray for Kyle and Claudia Zimmerman and their kids while they are on home mission assignment for a meaningful time of effectively communicating their work and ministry in Argentina. Pray the various youth ministry programs will go on uninterrupted in their absence as they serve in under resourced areas of Buenos Aires and to vulnerable youth.

Pray for Stephen as he equips Arab speaking church leaders at the European Training Center to be faithful witnesses to Muslims in Europe and in their home countries. Pray for students attending the NT Survey course, Feb 8-9 in Holland, to be equipped to understand and share God’s Word with others. Pray students will be able to present Christ to Muslims in a winsome way and that many will turn to Christ. Pray God will bless Stephen as he travels to key partnership meetings at the end of the month.

For the first time in 28 years Annoor’s Ras an Naqab (Southern) clinic had to close because the doctors lost their visas and had to leave the country. Pray this will be temporary, for grace and favor with government officials at all levels, and for peace and stability in Jordan. Pray for short-term dentists to help keep the dental ministry flourishing and for wisdom as they consider future opportunities for the dental team to serve.

Pray for Dave Briley as he recovers from a hip replacement and therapy which had to be postponed due to health issues in November. Their house in the village of Noiadi was damaged by a falling tree knocking out the translation office, solar panels which powered the equipment and backup batteries and cables. Pray his native translator Yomi can take care of getting the office back up and running as he continues to work with Dave on translations via cyber links.
