Gibson

Gibson gives thanks for the progress being made in their strategic plan, for God’s provision, church partnerships, the staff and their families, and the impact the work they are doing is having on people’s lives. Pray for God’s direction in all that World Relief Malawi is doing and for strength and divine health for the management team. Pray for the expansion to the southern region as the ministry works to empower churches and reach the most vulnerable.

Michael & Caroline

Pray the seeds planted among the 35 coworkers who attended Michael and Caroline’s Christmas party will continue to grow. Pray Michael and his teammate Blake will have many “good news” conversations with co-workers this semester. Pray Caroline’s friend F. will know heaven is real and for faith to know the way there. Pray for complete healing for Caroline and for her faith to be strengthened through these trials.

For more info on Michael & Caroline see page 15 of the prayer guide.

The Youngs

Despite the challenges in putting on the Asia conference, the Youngs found the topic of enneagrams (the framework that provides in-depth insight on how personality traits effect our spiritual development and team interactions), both interesting and challenging. The Youngs are looking into developing partnerships with national ministries in the western part of their country. Pray for the relationships being built and for wisdom on how to proceed for mutually beneficial Kingdom building work.

For more info on The Youngs see page 20 of the prayer guide.

Jonathan & Amy

While Amy continues to recover, Jonathan’s time has been used taking seminary classes at an accelerated pace, meeting with mentors and pastors, and fulfilling his new role in their family of three. Benjamin continues to be a delight to them. Italy remains in their hearts and they ask prayer for God’s continued work there in their absence as their teammates develop relationships within the community, and church attendance continues to grow.

For more info on Jonathan & Amy see page 5 of the prayer guide.

Leslie

Taking the onboarding course (also known as organizational socialization) with several colleagues from GEM is very encouraging to Leslie as she helps missionary couples and individuals who have just moved to Germany integrate into the country and its culture. Pray for her as she learns how to better serve new workers. Pray that the Lord will watch over the long-term staff as they have all given up something to follow Christ there.

For more info on Leslie see page 62 of the prayer guide.

Theo

Theo Visser asks prayer for the ICP network day for church leaders on March 8, and for the teams of pioneers who will participate in the two-year training for new intercultural initiatives starting on April 4. Pray for the plans to equip, strengthen, and broaden the network of intercultural faith communities, and for workers in the vineyard of intercultural mission in the Netherlands.

For more info on Theo see page 7 of the prayer guide.

Brian & Terri

Brian was excited that God brought 20 freshmen men to the Summer Camp Open House, and for the number of football teams for the first CO Mae Jo Cup tournament. Pray these efforts draw many Thai men to Christ. Pray for the Chiang Mai Sprout Church’s role in partnering and helping to grow and develop many new “sprout” churches in Chiang Mai. Brian and Terri rejoice in welcoming their first grandson born in the U.S.

For more info on Brian & Terri see page 83 of the prayer guide.

John & Dawn

Pray for John and Dawn as they seek to create and sustain a global community where God’s people are able to abandon themselves to creative ministry among the unreached. Their recent conference on “holiness in community” provided jaw-dropping God-stories of amazing ways the Lord has penetrated history, putting on display His glory among the unreached in their region. Former Muslim, Hindus and Buddhists are now worshipers of the King.

For more info on John & Dawn see page 82 of the prayer guide.

Daryl & Marlene

Pray for Daryl Bussert as he grieves the sudden death of his sister who had just returned from a church mission trip to Sierra Leone. This came immediately following the funeral of a friend and colleague in the aviation field in Ohio and his participation in the MAF Safety Officer training course in ID. Pray as they engage in a long-term project to formulate a JAARS Safety Management System rather than just overseeing individual programs worldwide.

For more info on Daryl & Marlene see page 53 of the prayer guide.

Greg & Elizabeth

Praise that Greg and Elizabeth arrived safely in their Middle Eastern country and all their luggage arrived with them. An expatriate family has provided a temporary apartment while they look for a permanent one. Pray for them to find the right place to live as they prepare to dive into language study as well as join their teammates Nick and Amanda in established ministry efforts. Pray for their transition and adjustment.

For more info on Greg & Elizabeth see page 67 of the prayer guide.
