Paul & Nora

Paul informs us that more churches in their E. Asia city have been closed in past weeks. Dozens of police came to their church requesting people to register with the police. When they refused, guards were sent to stay at the church door while there were people inside. Pray for these dear followers to stay strong amidst these disruptions. They have elected and ordained more elders in their mission churches and ask prayer for Paul’s family and the family of faith during this difficult time.

Chris & Debbie

On their recent trip to Ethiopia, Chris and Debbie heard great news of Orthodox priests coming to Christ and understanding for the first time God’s marvelous grace. They were able to visit and encourage three sets of WO missionaries living and working in the ME and be with a missionary having surgery by one of three doctors in the world able to perform such surgery. Pray for God’s wisdom as they care for our workers around the world.

Tim & Huilan

Even though Tim is Academic Dean of a seminary, president of an association for house church seminaries, and Regional Director for his agency, government influence means most of his work must be conducted remotely. Pray for encouragement as he travels to Taiwan for various board meetings and sets up other training sites. Thankfully Huilan’s job is also mostly online. Pray for guidance as they try to develop new ministries in other E. Asia locations.

Steffen & Nate

Steffen and Nate returned to Mittendrin encouraged from their vision casting trip on enabling the gospel to be heard in East Germany. They are excited the Lord has provided another path for a church plant in Rostock in the Evershagen district and ask prayer for the Gunthers family going there as church planters. Pray for the leadership team as they grapple with how to serve the great number of people in the Potsdam area in ministry and church plants.

Thomas & Jennifer

Thomas and Jennifer give praise that they have found an indigenous pastor for their church. Jordan and his wife Bella are Taiwanese, both have seminary degrees and they will transition slowly into the church. Meanwhile, Thomas and Jennifer are researching other unreached places in Chiayi County for a future new church plant. Pray for church attendance, the upcoming summer camp, and short-term team presently there from Hong Kong.

Mexico Youth ST Team

Our senior high team leaves tomorrow to work with longtime partner Shalom Presbyterian Church and Blas Pascal School in Merida, Mexico. Will Nease, Bill Jorgensen, Jordan Young and Lindsey Hearon will lead the group of 40 who will do construction work during the day at the school and new church building, as well as form relationships with high school students who attend the church’s youth group. The team will join in their weekly activities and minister to the local students before returning July 14.

Daryl & Marlene

Daryl and Marlene Bussert are rejoicing that the prayers concerning a potential couple to join JAARS International Safety team have been answered. Pray as they put together the plan to incorporate Chris and Kjerstein Lifto into the ministry over the next year. With the many upgrades and changes needed and being implemented, Daryl is involved in IT- both software and hardware, pray for the expected and unexpected challenges they will confront.

For more info on Daryl & Marlene see page 53 of the prayer guide.

Indonesia ST Team

Pray for the 2PC team leaving to work with Covenant City Church in Jakarta doing VBS to help engage new families in the church. J.T. and Hannah Pitner, Brett Wynne, Izaac Robinson, Faith Reid, and Cole Criddle will also spend time visiting our mission partners Tezar, Tatiana, and Jackie. Pray for a time of encouragement, refreshment, and team building while there, July 5-14.

Faith

Pray for Faith Blanchard as she settles into life in Kampala, Uganda, gets connected with her church community and begins work. Learning to function in a new country with just basic essentials will be challenging, pray she will see and feel God’s provision. Pray she will develop meaningful relationships with coworkers and local youth. Pray she will be able to trust the Good Shepherd, even in a new, different, and difficult culture and rest in the Lord rather than in herself.

For more info on Faith see page 39 of the prayer guide.

Kyle & Claudia

Kyle and Claudia Zimmerman ask for prayer as they, along with the ministry team, participate in a multi-denominational church planters’ event. Pray for their youth development program as they deal with younger youth who want to join Kyle’s carpentry class but are too young to use the tools. Praise for the large amount of interest the program is receiving, but pray for wisdom as the team walks with these youth.
