Jackie

Jackie is excited that CCC has hired her friend Amanda as a women’s ministry apprentice and asks prayer to lead her well. Pray the new women’s Bible studies groups would continue to grow deeper in worship of God. CCC has hired a third full-time pastor. Pray for a smooth transition as he and his family learn to live in Jakarta and connect with members of the church. Pray for Jackie to reconnect with her majority friends and establish deep and meaningful relationships.

Robby & Joyce

Robby and Joyce are in Beirut while Robby teaches a class at a local seminary and works on developing the second site for the GROW/Philemon project. Pray for wisdom in current negotiations to purchase a property which would serve both as a new preschool and headquarters for the project. Discussions have begun with seminary graduates who might want to start similar projects in other Middle Eastern and North African countries. Pray for Robby and Joyce as they prioritize their various responsibilities on two continents.

Ruslan & Zhanna

Turkmenistan is the only former SU country without Young Life. Under the current regime Christians are severely persecuted. Ruslan plans to cultivate local leaders and teach them outside the country through summer camps. Pray these leaders will catch the vision of YL and take it back to their country and that it will sprout and grow.

Leonardo

Leonardo DeChirico is grateful to God for the global initiative in Rome that is gaining momentum as it addresses a theological and missiological issue. The Rome Scholars and Leaders Network drew thirty-seven participants from Australia, Europe, US, and Latin America for a week of in-depth training in how to properly assess Roman Catholicism from an Evangelical perspective. Pray for the global initiative and training to bear much fruit.

Daryl & Marlene

Pray for Daryl Bussert as he finalizes plans for the audit in Cameroon this month. Along with changes going on within the organization there are many challenges for this audit including restrictions for travel there due to civil unrest. Daryl has assumed a new role as Safety Consultant to JAARS VP of Transportation Services. Pray as Marlene and he have experienced some unexpected issues administratively, organizationally, and relationally.

Laura

Laura has had a good year of learning language and culture in Amman and recently changed to a different school that is a better fit for her. Following a brief visit home, she returned for the final six months of her First Responder term. Pray for her as she seeks God’s will for what is next in life exploring and evaluating opportunities for serving a refugee-oriented ministry in that part of the world.

Randy & Martha

Pray for Randy as he spends two weeks participating in leadership meetings in SE Asia with their mission organization as well as connecting with three field teams. He has been helping with a session on effective business and church planting that will be the framework for spiritually fruitful business coaching in difficult places. Pray for Martha as she coaches women’s groups on-line.

Guille & Debbie

Pray for Guille MacKenzie as he continues teaching at the Incubator program for the second year of Mision BETA. Pray for the board to be strengthened with new teachers who can cope with all the challenges facing churches in Argentina. The church continues to offer relief to homeless people in their neighborhood. Pray God will continue to bless the ministry, Mision Beta, the homeless and financial crisis in Argentina, and Guille’s family.

The Youngs

The Youngs were grateful to spend two months in the US helping his aging parents make some life adjustments. While here they were able to participate in leadership meetings and strategic planning for UWM. They seek to lead the Asia region well despite instability of visa access in the two largest nations which has caused people to leave the field. Pray God will help them understand the difficulty and how to be part of mobilizing new longer-term laborers for the harvest.

Tim & Huilan

Pray for Tim and Huilan as they reconnect following her and the kids’ trip to East Asia. He gives praise that some of his colleagues have been released and asks prayer as they recover from months of isolation and spiritual and emotional turmoil. Praise the WCCTS seminary continues to grow with new students continuing to enroll. Pray they will be able to find new teachers and administrative staff to fill roles vacated by those who were detained last year.
