Randy & Martha

Randy is grateful for the time spent in a working group where they tackled complicated missions training problems relating to entering large, diverse, unreached global cities. Randy is currently part of a development-coaching group working with people who want to orient field workers, leaders and home staff to business that leads to movements to Christ. Pray for God’s wisdom and direction, and for Martha as she continues her ESOL groups.

Norm & Ruth Ann

Norm and Ruth Ann give thanks for the salvation of more than 172 Muslims, for discipleship training for many Muslim Background Believers, for new workers who transitioned overseas, and for God’s protection over team members who had Covid but recuperated. Pray for the right Arab-world nationals to fill four new positions on their team to help them be more effective in their use of media strategies for church planting: social media specialists and follow-up coordinators.

Thomas & Jennifer

While they are excited about the baptisms and outreach during the Christmas season, Thomas and Jennifer are really feeling the effects of a very long term. Pray for endurance. They have taken on a new team member as well as a Taiwanese intern which have already brought a few issues that had to be addressed. Pray for wisdom and time to rest as relational issues are requiring much more of them.

Brian & Terri

The CO Asia Network is trusting God to launch five new teams to new locations in the next three to five years. Brian realizes that with all the Covid restrictions and travel limitations, this is a very ambitious goal. But we have an amazing God, and the Thai indigenous leaders are pushing to launch two new teams in NE Thailand through the Khon Kaen ministry. Pray for the Lord to raise up laborers to launch these new campuses through healthy CO Asia regions.

Josh

Josh has extended his teaching contract through the 2021-2022 school year. Thank God for the 75 new applicants for membership at Covenant City Church, pray that Josh will be able to lead his community group well in the coming year. Juan & Maria

December was a sad month for Juan and his church as they lost one of their seminary board members and two doctors to Covid, and pastors and leaders are facing financial difficulties. Pray for the Presbyterian ministry in Belize, for trust and confidence in God for all their members who face crises, for Juan’s health to improve, and for wisdom and guidance for the new Government to tackle the pandemic and its repercussions.

Kyle & Claudia

Kyle and Claudia are thankful he was able to start carpentry classes in Merlo amidst Covid and the holiday season. He can have classes outside with a small number of students. This is also a new micro-enterprise project where they are making a product to sell. The men are beyond thankful and without words as some had no money to buy food for their family. Praise God the project is up and running! Pray this enterprise will give these men a way to make a living and provide for their families.

Jamila

While Jamila and her team rejoice that 23 people have been able to return to East Asia and others have been approved to return in February, her team continues to wait for the approval to return. Even upon receiving approval to return, there are many steps including a mandatory quarantine of 14 days in a facility, and likely an additional 14 days in their apartments on campus. Pray for patience as they wait, and for approval so they can be on the field for Spring semester.
