John M serves as the director of a mariculture business employing workers from poor areas of a large majority Muslim country. The supervisors are Christians who train their employees in the business and spiritually. Pray for wisdom and courage for these national church planters in unengaged Muslim villages. Pray for good health and safety for the workers, as they serve in areas without developed health care. Pray that the Lord would send his Spirit in power to work among these remote people, and throughout their nation, and provide the leaders that are needed.

Steve & Lizzie admit the transition back to the U.S. has been bittersweet. They both have a heart for overseas mission and leaving Romania was not an easy decision. They are also excited to share that Lizzie is pregnant! They expect their little bundle of joy in Sept. They ask prayer for the health of their growing family, that they will trust in God and how He will provide for them in the coming months, and for God to help them spiritually, mentally, and emotionally through last goodbyes and their transition back to the States.

Kyle & Claudia are so grateful for their time in Memphis being able to visit with some family and friends and two partnering churches. Kyle had some skin biopsies while home, and praise the results were benign. Pray as they adjust to life back in Buenos Aires, the girls jump back into school and Isaiah prepares for college. Pray for his final preparations for college and all that entails for them as a family. Pray for clarity of vision as they reconnect to the ministry and areas of need the Lord would have them serve.

Larry reports that virtual classes at ABC are challenging for both faculty and students as many of their students live in places where power and internet service is not reliable or non-existent. Despite these obstacles they manage to carry on, pray for the faculty and students as they continue their classes. Larry and Carey will be back in the U.S. in July for both home leave and for Carey, who applied to several colleges and has been accepted at two. Pray for wisdom as Carey decides where to attend college in the fall.

Continue to pray for Dave, Joyce, and their daughter April’s family as they are still mourning the unexpected death of April’s daughter Tara last fall from a brain aneurysm. Old Testament translation work continues even though the borders remain closed to visitors. Pray that the borders will reopen, and Dave will be able to travel to Papua to meet with Bauzi language speakers regarding comprehension of the translations. Otherwise, Dave asks prayer for reliable internet in Papua so they can still accomplish these tasks virtually.

Praise the Lord Aileen is slowly regaining her strength following illness. She thanks God for answering prayer and recent progress with the authorities. Pray the authorities will follow through on their promises. She also asks prayer for God’s presence at their patient meetings and that He will equip their volunteers to serve with renewed strength and joy as they deal with the challenges of Covid.

Paul and Violette are completing their lifelong service with TEAM at Sakuragaoka Christian Church in Japan. Pray for Yoshia Osaka, the church’s pastor, for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing for church members, and that God would bring many to Christ through the kids outreach. Pray the English Bible class that Violette started will continue to thrive after they have left. Pray for healing for Violette’s plantar fasciitis and for the Lord to strengthen and help them as they pack up to move home in August.

Thomas and Jennifer have served for 11 years in Taiwan. Praise God for Jordan Yao, who will be ordained as the new pastor of Sanhe Church on May 16th! Pray that the Lord will anoint Jordan and continue to grow this church. Pray for the Lord’s guidance as the McIntyres research their next ministry location in Xingang. Pray for Jennifer as she travels in her role as church planting coordinator and for the start of a women’s Bible study before they leave. Pray for their home assignment as they visit church partners, for much needed rest and refreshment, and for Thomas as he pursues Doctor of Ministry studies.

Jeff and Katie are working to establish the first RUF campus ministry in Japan. Pray for favor with decision makers as Jeff has met with a professor at a nearby university seeking permission to be on campus. Pray that the Lord would raise up the first Japanese staff member. Pray for Katie’s ministry to mothers, for good gospel conversations, and that the Lord would work through the Bible studies. Pray for the establishment of a kid’s club, that the Lord would draw families to himself. Pray that the Lord would pour out his Spirit on Tokyo and all of Japan.

Chris and Debbie ask prayer for a few of the workers they work with who have not been able to go back to the countries that they serve in. Pray for effective ministry via zoom, and for God to use them right where they are and encourage them that He is at work in their lives and ministries. Pray that Chris and Debbie will continue to grow in their faith and be challenged through a Bible study on the book of Galatians, as well as through their personal times with God as they read through the scriptures this year and seek to walk more closely to Him!
