Valery and Janna Morozov and their family need our earnest prayers. Their son Kirill contracted Covid, and was immunocompromised due to chemotherapy as he battled cancer. Last Friday, Kirill went home to his Savior. Pray for his wife Nastya, and son Lev. Pray for Kirill’s sisters Rita and Anna. Praise God for Kirill’s work and ministry with Gideons International/Russia. Pray for the Lord to pour out his Spirit on the nation of Russia.  Ask for grace and mercy for this faithful family.

Tim and Huilan (“Hwaylon”) continue to provide theological education for a closed country remotely, due to government oppression. Pray for Tim as Academic Dean, and all the staff who continue to meet by Zoom. Many students are experiencing persecution and harassment from authorities, but praise that 36 students graduated this month!  Ask the Lord to bring the persecutors to salvation, and for protection and encouragement of the workers. Pray for Huilan as she leads the Parakaleo women’s ministry. Praise God for the fruit that she sees in many pastor’s wives. Pray for the Lord to provide the new president of Christ’s College and for the development of their ministry in Korea.

Roger and Abi Lowther celebrate what God has done through the Paralympics in Tokyo. The testimony of Anika Pretorius, a visually impaired athlete from South Africa gave great glory to God. After coming in 5th in the women’s 100 meters, she shared how the experience taught her to “walk by faith and not by sight.” Please ask the Lord to continue the work that he began at the Olympics. Pray for God’s blessing on son Aiden as he begins his college career in the US, and for the family in their time away from Community Arts Tokyo.

Chris and Debbie Gibson are taking Study Leave to attend a 5-day training on prayer. Ask the Lord to meet them there and for the Holy Spirit to minister to their hearts that they would experience the presence of Jesus. Pray for Chris as he attends planning meetings in Orlando, and for good connection with the new World Outreach director. Ask the Lord to bless their desire to return to Budapest in early October. Pray for protection from Covid. Pray that the Lord will fill them with his Spirit and make them faithful as they care for others.

Aaliyah shares that the new school year has begun at Bingham Academy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Pray that the Lord would make this year more than just a year of strong academic education, to tell of His goodness, grace, and love for the students and their families. Pray that God would be merciful as they continue to work through Covid and for the recovery efforts after flooding in the city has affected some Bingham families. Pray for peace in the northern regions of Ethiopia, and for God to give wisdom to those who are leading. Ask the Lord to protect Aaliyah and draw her to Himself.

Please pray for the city of Beirut and the nation of Lebanon. Since the explosion last year, the government has not been functioning, the currency devaluation has made money meaningless, and now there is a crucial deficit in fuel, electricity, food, health care. Pray for Greg and Elizabeth as they returned to the U.S. to give birth to twins. Pray for the Lord’s mercy and provision for the people of Lebanon, and for the Syrian refugees who are attempting to return to Syria. Pray for light to shine in the darkness.

Pray for their hospitals and front-line staff as they are overwhelmed and ask the Lord to bring an end to Covid in their area. Josh reports that life is challenging in Indonesia as he continues to struggle through teaching and life in general. He asks for prayer for their church, that God would allow them to remain as one even when not able to meet physically and that the Lord would establish the new Bahasa speaking church. Praise God for strengthening them and protecting them as they shared life and the Gospel with the children and youth of many orphanages there. Praise God for working salvation among the youth of Ukraine. Pray for partners Valya, Ruslana, Roma, and Tolic as they visit these orphanages. Pray for those who have heard the truth in the past and are no longer there.
